Spoilers Kelvin Timeline Character appearances in SNW?

Though not canon, Thomas Harewood was serving on the Shenzhou in one of the Disco novels.

If that’s the case, then maybe he can give insight into Georgiou’s time as captain pre-DIS S1 and other key crewmembers at the time (Burnham, Saru, Detmer, and the lesser known characters Gant and Troke).

Though Noel Clarke probably wouldn't play Thomas considering what came out about him verbally and sexually harassing women.

I never expected him to. Seeing as in SNW, Bruce Greenwood isn’t playing Pike, Zachary Quinto isn’t playing Spock, Chris Pine isn’t playing Kirk and Zoe Saldana isn’t playing Uhura.

The Corvette.
I always wanted to see the opposite with Michael, having her counterpart turn up in a Kelvin comic with a completely different backstory, maybe not even in Starfleet, but definitely being friends with Spock.

The one think I hated about the Kelvin comics is that they had Robert April go off the deep end and start supplying arms to an alien civilization.

I like the idea Michael was adopted by Admiral Marcus, raised as the sister of Carol but she'd be the hardcore Section 31 one and totally on board with his evil plans.

So been rewatching the Kelvin films and It made me think I would love to see the "Prime" counterpart to certain characters appear in some shape or form on SNW (I.E. Richard Robau, George Kirk, Winona Kirk, Richard Barnett. Keenser.)
The one I kinda wanna see is the Prime counterpart to Alexander Marcus cause I have always been fascinated by his character arc. Like was he always a member of Section 31 before the Kelvin was destroyed or was that a by product of the Kelvin getting whacked.?
Are there any Kelvin characters you would like to see make their Prime universe debut?
There's a rumor that 1 or 2 of them might this season, but of course I can't say this for sure.

Scotty needs a Keenser.
No, he doesn't. He just needs to be written as well as he was on TOS.
Kelvin timeline Scotty was 95% comedy relief, something that his TOS counterpart really wasn’t (and hopefully his SNW counterpart won’t be, either.) Keenser was just there as a foil for Scotty, and served no useful purpose other than that. The dude didn’t even talk.
Yep. If SNW continues to use Scotty, I hope he's the serious, no-nonsense professional he was on TOS instead of the comic relief guy he devolved into in the movies.

I think he's closer to the reboot films than Scotty in TOS (who also functioned as comic relief upon occasion). He appears to be an young engineering genius on SNW who needs more experience and seasoning. I'm fine with that.

According to his Wikipedia article, he won a case of defamation against Guardian. Police dropped the investigation. Sounds like he’s game!

What makes you say that?
For me, personally, I thought Pegg's Scotty was the only casting misstep in the Kelvinverse, because he was too slapstick and channelled nothing of TOS Scotty. I always felt Paul McGillion would have been better and would have been able to bring some of Doohan's gravitas to the role but it was clear that wasn't what they wanted.

Case in point - Keenser. The dynamic between the characters was very weird and not well thought out. He was a Starfleet engineer, assigned to Scotty's research station on Delta Vega, so I assumed he was probably a specialist, i.e. a petty officer, assigned to assist in the research, and Scotty treats him like a dogsbody, very disrespectfully, albeit they are all alone and it's clear that they are also friends, a bit like Spock/McCoy perhaps. There was a suggestion that his species was largely non-verbal as he just used to grunt and mumble.

Then, they are both assigned to the Enterprise but Scotty treats him just the same, shouting at him instead of just giving him orders, which feels a bit inappropriate given that he's his commanding officer in a hierarchy and it's in front of his contemporaries. This is not the same as Spock/McCoy because Scotty is his boss. It's more like Spock/Rand.

Then in the comic, which was allegedly canon, they revealed that Keenser is a lieutenant! So, not a dogsbody non-com but one of Scotty's senior engineering officers, possibly even his assistant chief! How can Keenser have any authority over his sub-ordinates when Scotty treats him publicly with such racial prejudice and lack of respect, and when he barely utters enough sentences to give an order? Kelvin Scotty is an innovative engineer but a terrible chief engineer. He's more akin to Barclay. But, of course, the Kelvin writers were not very nuanced, so Keenser remains loyal to Scotty, like a puppy remains loyal to its abusive owner. It's actually a terrible message about human superiority to put on screen. He was more like a running gag than a character.

Deep Roy was a sci fi legend, and I would not be averse to seeing Keenser feature if they flesh out his species, but not as a senior engineer under Scotty's command. We don't need casual racism in the show.
