Just how many different alternate timelines did Voyager create?

There was the whole "Year From Hell" thing. Then there was that one episode where Voyager was destroyed but Harry Kim survives and then fifteen years later makes it back to the Alpha quadrant to develop the technology to transmit a message back to Voyager in the past to save them. Then there was the whole thing with the finale. Anybody ever keep track of the number of times Voyager's crew has completely sent things off the time track only to hit the "reset" button at the end of the episode?

I love how, in "Relativity", they're Tuvixing displaced duplicates of people together and arresting people for crimes they haven't commited yet (and likely won't owing to the foreknowledge of their crime). It's a Federation gone mad.

I was just watching the DS9 episode where they go back to TOS during the tribble takeover and the men commented on what a menace Kirk was with all his timeline incursions. So I think really nobody can beat him. Not even Janeway.

But if we're counting, did we give the finale a spot? That was an alternate.

Eh, Janeway wasn't back from the DQ yet. I'd say she'd earn a pretty notable place in DTI's books once she got back and made her report- esp. the bit about how she erased 20 years of Federation history for her own personal desires.

Dulmer and Lucsly question Janeway following the return of Voyager about her temporal meddling. Lucsly has enough evidence to charge Janeway, but he is stopped when a 29th century agent orders him to leave it be. This is obviously due to Janeway's actions that lead to the end of the Borg in the novelverse.

Lost count of all the timelines Voyager changed, displaced and rejigged. Some of the time paradoxes seem cyclical, where the first Voyager encounters an event, gets destroyed or loses a member of the main characters, and then we go to the second Voyager and because the first Voyager changed the timeline, the second Voyager doesn't get affected. Wierd or what? At Year of Hell's time stuff made sense. God I love Year of Hell.

The episode 'Non Sequiter' where Harry is kidnapped by an alien race that experiments with active timelines. An alternate timeline was created on Earth. He is living with Libby his fiancee near Starfleet headquarters in San Francisco. Voyager disappeared almost two years ago.
Time and Again, Year of Hell and Relativity is when they manipulate alternate realities just to have it disappear because it never happened.
In Before and After and alternate future timeline was experienced by Kes- which could be anything.
With Eye of the Needle and Futures End Voyager find themselves responsible for some dark passages in history.
Their are fully only three alternate timelines involving the home planet Earth; Non Sequiter, Timeless and Endgame.
If you count the fact that Endgame is the end of the series then their are only two.

She' didn't erase anything.
If the technology and the events of Admiral Janeway still exist, then her future is an alternate timeline. Nothing in her time was erased, it's just now another possible timeline. It's no different than a mirror universe. If all that technology and memory of her vanished, then that's proof that timeline is erased.

Voyager gave us both examples:
Timeless- Old Harry Kim's recording to young Harry Kim still exists. So Old Harry is now in an alternate timeline.

Before & After- Nobody remembers Kes telling them about the Krenuim. So it's believed the events of "B&A" might have never happened.

I thought "Non Sequiter" was all happening in Harry's head, not an actual REAL timeline?

Clearly you attended the Robert Zemeckis school of Back to the Future Timeology. As far as DTI would be concerned, Janeway altered 20 years of Federation history. Just because it still exists in a different timeline doesn't exonerate her for creating the new timeline- the DTI in question will be in THAT timeline.

Non sequitor was about "timestreams", not timelines and it was about changing space more so than time. Space got replaced rather time plit or frayed, even is time was the causal factor.

Parallels was about Quanutm realities. Entire Universes that just happened to be different more so that they had diverged form one another.

They're alternate universes, not alternate timelines that are "created" when time travel hijinks occurs. That was just some bullshat created for Star Trek XI "OMGZ they invented a new parallel universe...no you haven't"

Regardless of the method of origin, the end result appears to be the same.

These days I think all of the universes exist simultaneously in any case...they're not "created", they were always there to begin with.

I really like Janeway and Archer for all their timeline issues. Those were many of my favorite episodes. If I was a Captain, I'd screw with the timeline every chance I had.
