Is Migleemo an Aurelian?

Mr. Laser Beam

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
We know there are some Aurelians with wings (Aleek-Om from TAS) and some who don't have wings (Adreek-Hu from Prodigy). So could Migleemo be one of the latter?

There are, as already shown in TAS in addition to the Aurelians there were also the Skorr. Granted, they look so similar people often mistaken them for the same species anyway.

There's also the Birdman the Talosians kept in their zoo.
He is the bird man. They're very long lived. Likes to brag about how he met Pike.

Whatever he is, he's a cutie pie :luvlove:
All I know for sure is that Mike McMahan says we'll find out in S5.
I predict that he belongs to an as-yet-unnamed species, unless the Corvarian Sludge Worms he was eating while talking with Tendi come from his homeworld.

On Twitter I saw Mike McMahan promise to reveal his species in Season 5. I've got my fingers crossed. I don't think he's Aurelian, but since the Lower Decks writers as so good about knowing canon and even using book source material sometimes, I am sure they had something in mind when creating him.

I've been thinking about his dialogue with the Hug-Cierge on Ferenginar, and wondering if his explanation of how his species came to explore space was the truth, or just an attempt to look good.

Given LD's extensive ties to TAS, I wonder if the LD team has considered making the Aurelians and Skorr biological relatives, as was mentioned in the non-canonical TOS novel The Captain's Oath.

Mmm, maybe I was onto something when I improvised with a green balaclava to be a wingless Aurelian Starfleet officer, to MC the costume parade at TimeWarped Convention, Sydney, Australia in 1986?

The resemblance is striking for an improvised costume made 30 years before Migleemo was even created. That beak is almost identical to the Counselor's.
I still don't think he's an Aurelian, though. He doesn't have their name structure.

Human names have a wide variety of structures, so why wouldn't Aurelians?
That by itself is not an issue. But we also see Aurelians in Lower Decks, and they don't look anything like him. The three members of his species we do see all have a similar look distinct from the Aurelians.
