If you won a "vacation"...

Re: If you won a holiday...

Are you using the British-English meaning of pants, or the American-English version?

It makes a difference. :D

I imagine it might. I meant trousers, but tried to make it more Americanised... If I had meant knickers, or panties, I would have said so! Plus, that kind of thing really is not good for the furniture...

I'd probably head off to British Columbia. It's such a beautiful province. :)

I thought you meant trousers, but couldn't resist poking a bit of fun.

Re: If you won a holiday...

I'm sure there are others like you who take their boxers off to relax. No biggie... :p

Re: If you won a holiday...

Would you mind passing over what ever it is you smoke? 'Cos it sounds like the business! :D

It's just my brain slowly shutting down as it freezes to death.

I think it'll beam out the answer to the universe in its death throws.

Rub sea salt in your eyes for extra flavor!

Suggestions within the US area.

Rocky Mountains area- the resorts like Vail, Breckenridge, etc, plus side trips to New Mexico to see the Anasazi ruins (Chaco Canyon), or the 4 corners area to see some of the cliff dwellings. Given time, you could also head over to Utah to see Zion national park. Lots of physical activities are available- skiing, mountain biking, rafting, etc. I have heard the Canadian rockies are magnificent as well, but I have never been there.

Pacific Northwest- see the giant redwoods, and the coast. You might want to find the sunny season. The Northern California coast (Arcada, Santa Cruz, etc) is also nice.

San Fransisco- a nice city to site see, and get some good food.

North Carolina is gorgeous in the fall- from the Mountains, to the coast. Good BBQ, great beaches.

Iowa, if you really like corn. :D

For relaxing and eating, Connecticut (Storrs area) has some B&B's and restaurants.

Rockport, Cape Cod, or Martha's Vineyard, MA- nice tourist areas. I like Rockport or the Vineyard in mid to late September, when tourism starts dwindling.

Thinking about all this, I realize I need a vacation, too. :)

£1000 isn't going to buy a massive amount, holiday-wise, for two, particulalry since I'd like to go somewhere warm. I always consider Prague or St Petersburg at this time of year, but right now I'd like somewhere warm. That means travel. Or I could do Italy, which isn't probably massively hot right about now. It would be a nice dilemma to have.
