Think I've been here about 3 years. Lurked a long time before that. Always felt reluctant to join as i did sense that 'some' long term members didn't welcome newbies, especially if you dare ask or post something that had been discussed before. Or broke an unwritten rule.

Only had a couple of occasions I've run into people like that but the vast majority of people have been great.

P.S. speaking of the launch of Enterprise, here's a pic that should give a few of the older members here a flashback.

The hysteria this one picture caused still makes me laugh.

Do you know what was even funnier? Being the only moderator for the Enterprise forum online when the pic dropped.

There was a huge influx of posts; everyone assumed the nacelle config. was the same as the Akira, the design was far too futuristic for the period ... it was manic!

Anyway, I registered early 2000. I'll have been here 25 years next January.
