Halt and Catch Fire Season Three

Missed that last episode, then? Joe showed up, in a big way. It's like he's Steve Jobs pushing MacAfee.

The scene with Joe and Gordon during the deposition proved one thing: Joe is still a dick who loves screwing with people's heads--now he's just a successful one.

Joe is certainly in full-on Steve Jobs mode this season, and I'm enjoying it. I feel bad for poor Gordon, he's turned into quite a pathetic character. Remember the episode in season two when he was lost inside a parking garage?

So, Gordon's having severe headaches that he keeps track of in his journal. Did the doctor say just how much time Gordon has left?

Non-Serious Answer I just made up: Since Halt and Catch Fire takes place in the '80s, Gordon has until at least 1990. :p

The writers have said they had ideas that could take place during the 90s if they want to skip forward or last that long.

I loved how Bos totally sized-up Swap Meet in a few minutes and them ripped them to shreds. Beautiful.

S3E4 Rules of Honorable Play - Some of Cameron's C++ code looked a little off to me, like a backward parenthesis in her FOR loop. Also, using a C=64 for a terminal.. 40 columns.. ugh. Someone needs to kick a few behinds in that Mutiny office, all they ever seem to be doing is screwing around and throwing crap at each other, how does anything ever get done?

I noticed an Amiga in Joe's office, very cool. Poor Gordon, his steady deterioration into a pathetic mess continues.

I love the show. This season has been fantastic and I'm happy to have had three seasons. I think it's probably beyond hope for a fourth season. Howeve Bos needs his own spin off series.

Someone please refresh my memory: does Cameron know about Gordon's illness? She sees the symptoms now but she does really know how bad it is? I did like that Gordon got to finally be the "hero," even if only for a few minutes.

The last three episodes of this season were the best three episodes of the entire series, and if this ends up being the last we ever see of it, it certainly went out with a bang.

Edit: I just read that AMC has renewed Halt for one final season. Thank you AMC.
