Thoughts?

zzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZ

(I'm not really comenting on the poster itself, BTW: it's just that I'm getting really tired of these endless remakes and reiterations and slight reimaginings ... and think that it's led to the extreme stagnation of the horror genre in the past two decades).

Well, if it's any indication, the sequel should surpass the original remake by a long shot. But of course, that's following the logic of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. As much as I'm dreading seeing another sequel, I'll probably end up having my rump in the seat just to see it as a Halloween fan. Still, meh.

Why is it coming out in August? Seems too early for Halloween, and too late to get the DVD out for Halloween.

Didn't think they were making another one. First I head of it.

Two possibilities. 1) The first movie was released in August, so they are following the pattern.

2) August tends to be the dumping ground for bad summer movies, much like Jan/Feb is the dumping ground for bad winter movies. The idea is that it won't have much competition, so it'll be successful.

I liked the last sequel to a Rob Zombie horror film I didn't like (Enjoyed Devil's Rejects, didn't care for House of 1000 Corpses) so I will give this one a chance.

When it comes out on DVD, some marketing executive will feel not enough people will know what H2 means despite the box office success, so for the cover art the movie will be renamed H2: Halloween United.

Yeah, because we needed this sequel. Why was this even made? And I actually kind of liked Zombie's remake of Halloween.

This sequel is going to be a steel cage survivor match between Michael Myers and Leatherface (now played by Steve Austin).
