Guilty Pleasure Songs...

Another one very few seem to appreciate. They love the cleavage, though. Most everyone seems to agree on the cleavage. But that's about it, really.

^^ I was never much of a Spice Girls fan, though I do have a bit of a soft spot for Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton. I like this Bob Fosse-inspired video. And Emma’s legs.

Now, if we’re talking manufactured girl pop groups, here’s a definite guilty pleasure.

Most of Garth Brooks' catalogue is great. No need to feel guilt or shame. Shania's had some terrific songs as well. :)

60's TV for kids. Mornings with frosted flakes, zarex, and the Banana Splits and Looney Toons. Saturdays were great. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cfHKmQ2ZzI[/yt]

I only skimmed through the songs posted in this thread, so forgive me if this songs been brought up bef

Normally I listen to Classic Rock, and my first love in music will always be Cowboy Hat Country, But I cant help but like the song "Back to the 80s" by Aqua, I laugh my ass off everytime I hear it, it makes me feel like a kid again:

There are a few Nickelback songs that I enjoy like "If everyone Cared", "savin' me" and a few others. Considering hoe much shit they take on the internet, that's a guilty pleasure.

Speaking of rocking to a theme:

Nothin' beats a cartoon that starts each episode with a full blown war.

The soundtrack to my Saturday mornings in the mid-to-late 1980s. :adore:

Cykelsangen ~The Bicycle Song from a Danish seventies kiddie-show, here in a recording from the nineties where it -amongst other kiddie-songs by the same guy- had a short revival:

Basically it's about being happy to have a bicycle because it let's you get around on your own.

Regnsangen ~The Rain Song from a Danish eighties kiddie-show:

The chorus is about giving the rain a shower so the sun will come out and be so happy ( :wtf: )

Trawling through the recent threads, I had to stop at this and have my own say about my own guilty pleasures, most of them from listening to music while growing up.

Bear in mind that my tolerances of music are very different and varied compared to some others, as I feel a lot of so-called "guilty pleasure" songs (including several - possibly too many - already mentioned so far in the thread) are probably undeserving of their status and are genuinely great songs.

That said, I do have a number of choices that I feel particularly guilty about liking. A LOT. I could comment on the relative merits (or lack thereof) contained within these pieces of, er, music, but instead I'll simply let the music speak for itself - long story short, I love each and every one of them regardless.

This is by no means an exhaustive list:

"Doop" - Doop

"Them Girls Them Girls" - Zig & Zag
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH80X3lC5M0

"C'est La Vie" - B*Witched
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvjLgjtJKsc

"Disco Duck" - Rick Dees and his Cast of Idiots
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irgJPqkuakM

"Chacarron" - El Chombo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfElckgKbPE

"Saturday Night" - Whigfield
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOvcytygY_M

"Hey Baby" - DJ Otzi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNsmiqmaEWo

"Blue (Da Ba Dee)" - Eiffel 65
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68ugkg9RePc

"Axel F" - Crazy Frog
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k85mRPqvMbE
:D

"Floral Dance" - Terry Wogan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElnCI1fkfFM
I have this one on my mp3 player. :D

"I Touch Myself" - Rolf Harris
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8Yxmz-csB4
:guffaw:

Also, pretty much any selected piece by the James Last Orchestra or Lil Jon. :rommie:

Finally, pick a mashup. Any mashup. :p To be fair though, many mashups, if done well, are decent songs in their own right, but a lot of them fall squarely into guilty pleasures. For example:

Grease vs. Wise Guys
http://youtu.be/f_r4Ieh7Lz0

Michael Jackson vs. Nirvana
http://youtu.be/JNUTYHJrutw

Will Smith vs. Muse
http://youtu.be/z6H0q71f9XU

The now legendary "I Kissed A Barbie Girl"
http://youtu.be/oKF-P3Y3nm8

Beatles vs. Radiohead vs... just listen:
http://youtu.be/0UvKEuCQ_EY

And finally, my personal favourite guilty pleasure of them all: Rick Astley vs. Sir Mix-A-Lot
http://youtu.be/Z9387zmssuE

I mean, I could go on... :bolian:

I give you a masterpiece of 80's heavy metal cheese, complete with post apocalyptic video:
