GIRLS Season 4

I just got a cold shiver down my spine remembering her playing topless table tennis.

She's trying to make boobs sexless and bland.

If men (and lesbians) lost interest in boobs, would y'all be able to walk around with it all hanging out weather permitting?

Her brave boobs are trying to make a better world!

I may have to change my opinion about the teaching job. I just watched Lena do a pretty funny skit about Hannah working as a writer on the Seth Meyers Show and I think I've been expecting too much verite from the show when it's really a comedy in the end.

Imagine if each storyline got more and more over the top and parodious of itself until you wake up at the end of the season watching a full on satire of Girls.

Kind of getting that way, Hannah's behavior is deeply narcissistic but the real insanity is how people around her don't recoil from it. The psyche drama that was Spock and Mimi-Rose also fell off the cliff of believability last ep.

OOPS, meant to edit but did a new post...

Yes that is why you didn't watch another ep this week.

What fricking morons, having a baby in a filthy bathroom six weeks early, no one calls the ambulance until the FOOT? Which is like super dangerous. Footling breech, awful.

I tried to sit my mother down to watch the pilot.

We had 20 minutes left before she had to pick up her boyfriend from his day out.

I thought I'd be able to squeeze it in.

2 minutes of Hannah whining about how they can't take her money away from "her" and my mum says "Who the #### does this little bitch think that she is?"

:guffaw:

She's a product of eternal adolescence being the norm.

I had to laugh at the scene a couple eps ago when the dad pounces and says he bets Hannah has not brought her wallet, so that he will pay for the lunch out. I have had two friends who in their 30's have told me they leave their wallets at home when they go shopping with their parents so that their parents will buy them whatever they pick out. It was so wtf, these were not poor people.

I had the reversal of that, my mother would never have money with her or spent the entire lunch talking about how she would starve for a week because she could not afford this sandwich. That Hannah has frequently reminded me of my mother is at least a bit of black humour.

I draw on myself sometimes with a ballpoint pen.

It tickles.

That lasts a couple days.

I can't handle the permanence of real tattoos.

Running out of arm just seems like ecological carelessness.

I need to be much fatter, to have surface area to burn.

Of course then the needle has to trench over hills and gore into valleys.

It really seems like you should need some extra qualifications to tattoo the super fat.

Other than my phone number, there's nothing I really should tattoo on myself.

And then, what if I move?

I have to move at some point because this can't be my life.

And the house is sliding down an embankment.

5 to 10 years from now, some important walls are going to be missing.

I should leave before then.

It recently came to me what I would get if I ever got a tattoo, after mulling it over for years the perfect teacake tattoo (not of a teacake) just fell into my brain. Unlike every other idea this one is definite, it's perfect, it's the one I would get if I was getting one which I am not. I am happy to have settled on the theoretical.

Season 1 Promo.

2 years ago, Lena said that she was going to write a four issue arc at Archie comics, focussing on feminism. I can't find proof that that ever happened. Bugger. I want this.
