I could see Holland Taylor as Mrs. Howell.
I'm betting that some youngster will bitch about this being a LOST rip-off when it's released.![]()
Didn't we already get a remake? It's called Lost.![]()

That would be pretty cool. There should be some scene where the Skipper wakes up to the smoke monster coming after him but then it's revealed it's just Gilligan burning breakfast or something.
So, in other words, it'll probably be just like the original show. The chances of this being good are pretty slim, IMO.
Yeah, that could work. Make the Howells a rich gay couple. This is the 21st century, man!Mr. and Mr. Howell . . . okay, I got nothing.
Eric Allan Kramer. He's already played the Skipper, sort of. He played Alan Hale, jr in the TV movie Surviving Gilligan's Island. There is an actor, and I don't know his name, and I can't remember any role he's played except one, but when I saw this guy, I thought "OMG it's a young Skipper." I thought he would be perfect, but that was probably 30 years ago now or more, so he might not work in the part anymore.
Anyway, the role was a guest star playing "Thor" in the old Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk TV show. I remember watching that show thinking he was a reincarnation of Alan Hale, not just in looks, but in his mannerisms. He seemed like a natural for the part.
Chewingtobbaco Ewokfur as the Professor.
Errr...Chiwetel Ejiofor
How about Jack Black as the Skipper?
I could see... and don't laugh... Pamela Anderson as Ginger. LOL Really... she's such a ditzy dizzy blonde. Or... or... LINDSAY LOHAN! LOL
The modern Gilligan needs some sex appeal.
The modern Gilligan needs some sex appeal. I vote for John Krasinski.
Options on the island were, shall we say, limited. The Professor was the only attractive guy. Maybe Mr. Howell, too, but I wouldn't wanna tangle with Lovey!(Although Ginger often flirted aggressively with him and Mary Ann seemed to have a bit of a thing for him sometimes.)
