Ghostbusters: We're Finally Ready to Believe You

The no multiple games thing is annoying. I took my PS3 over to my brother's to show it to him, started a new game so he could play from the beginning and the the "training"/encouter Slimer and Stay-Puft, etc. Imgaine my surprise when I discovered all my progress was gone.

I'd return a game that did that as defective merchandise.

Then you don't know what "defective" really means. What he described is not a defect. It's exactly what the game is supposed to do. The save system was intentionally made to contain only one save file. You may think it was stupid of them to make it that way (and I agree), but that doesn't make it a defect.

Anyone get the trophy for the stasis dunk? I can't seem to get it for some reason. You are suppose to have your stasis stream hitting the ghost as it enters the trap, right?

No. You have to freeze it first, then throw the trap.

I was defect manager at a major software company for four years. I know what defective is.

Telling me what a defect is is like telling a dentist what a tooth is. A software defect is anything that negatively affects the user experience. In this case, user data loss is a serious defect.

It's not data loss it's user stupidity. It clearly says that previous saves will be overwritten.

Data is supposed to be saved on a per-user basis on a PS3 or a Xbox 360. If Trekker restarted using the same user account then that's one thing, if he used a different user account and it was still overwritten then that's a user data loss defect.

It is on a per user basis, he obviously played it using his own account and started it from the beginning again.
Stupid save system, just like it was in Dead Rising, but it is not a fault it's user error.

Then that's the bane of a defect manager's life - a badly written defect report. :p

Ah, I must have missed the part about the different user account. I thought you were talking about the single save-file system in general. Never mind then.

I like online play but has anyone run into some dicks who don't bother reviving you? It's suppose to be a team effort but they just run past you and you have to wait to get automatically revived.

No, the worst part of online is wasting the entire initial two-minute period of a Containment game because your three teammates are being fucking retards and slamming a ghost all over the place because it has to go into THEIR TRAP AND NO ONE ELSE'S, just so they can get more points and stroke their e-penis.

YES! This, too.

That is the problem with online. Everyone is out for themselves and it is suppose to be a team. If we all die, it's game over. These people don't get that.

I hate the ones who have the mic. I didn't think of my PSN name but anyways, I still get retarded people who say 'I am better than you" (my username is MeBetterThanYou) and that is so lame. It's just a username that generates a few giggles, it's not serious.

I had some idiot laugh because I got in last place in one event so he said 'lol MeBetterThanYou is in last lolololol' and then I owned him the next round and he felt stupid.

Just play the game and stop acting stupid, people!

^ This is why if there was ever a real life "The Last Starfighter" moment, the Frontier wouldn't have one lone recruit from earth -- they'd have 500,000, all under the age of 16. And when they were out flying around in space, eventually they'd get bored, start calling each other fags and noobs, and then shoot each other down.

haha, so true. Other guys were fighting during a session, it was hilarious. Just play the game and have some fun.
