What kind of conclusions are you guys coming up with? That his legal action is just a publicity stunt? Or what? What is the point of speculating and coming to some conclusion when no one knows what he is talking about? If Wang wasn't clear about the details of this legal, then he wasn't. Why not admit that we don't know why and move on, instead of using this as an excuse to bash him?
The thing is, good or bad, we can speculate and if people don't like that, it's tough on them; they don't have to read the thread.
And there are lawsuits and other legal actions happening in Hollywood everyday but we don't hear about them. The only reason we are even talking about it is because Garrett Wang let us know about a cease and desist he put out. This entire discussion is litterally his fault. As already discussed earlier in the thread, users here didn't even know what he was talking about, had to Google it and in some cases came up empty, and now we're talking about the
possibility that it was about a rumor from some person online about him being gay. If anything, Wang has shune the spot light upon himself. He should have just shut the hell up about the cease and desist, which the chances of that leaking were probably slim, then count his blessings he doesn't sue 'cause then it will come out.
If you start searching for blogs and posts at websites online about various actors and actresses, you'll find all kinds of rumors, sexually deplorable comments, threats on lives, etc. These things happen, good or bad. But Wang thinks he's really important, apparently. The cease and desist is pretty much useless and if he goes to court over it and it some how remarkably doesn't get thrown out in pre-trial, any normal judge (though we are talking about California here) would dismiss it.
If anything he's created an online headache for himself and he'll end up the butt of some jokes now.
And please, Wang, don't wear your Starfleet uniform to court.
