If there ever is to be another Star Trek Film to be made, what will happen to Anton Yeltsin (Chekov) character, will he be replaced?, remembering that the Kelvin Timeline is in effect, or will he be written out somehow?

So how do think he could be written out then?, but obviously not forgotten?, I was thinking taken by the Borg perhaps?

I always thought it would be nice to promote the character. As there has been about a decade in time passed since the last film he could have his own ship. Maybe he could be the Captain of the USS Reliant in the kelvin timeline. He be off on his own adventures.
Shame what happened to Anton Yelchin.

It was a terrible tragedy, I have been thinking that if he was assimilated, his knowledge of the trans warp equation could have been used by the Borg to construct transwarp conduits

Personally I’d rather them not use the Borg in a TOS reboot movie.

Just a thought, I like the idea of him being promoted to Captain of his own ship, it would be a fitting tribute to the character
