Exeter

Nobody wants a botched rush job. I'm sure that when it's finished it will be hailed as THE amateur Star Trek production against which all others will be measured.

Key word... "when!" it's finished lol sorry that one was left wide open.

New Year's Resolution: Get the making-of DVD. :D

Oh geez I'd hate to see that war and peace tomb of a DVD

Well, I'm still expecting The Last Dangerous Visions to be announced any day now, so I'm the eternal optimist. :D

I still consider this practice of releasing Act III over a year after Act II to be a form of cruel and unusual punishment, regardless of the good real-life reasons. :)

Well, that is upcoming after Ellison finishes his three-part novel that "Boy and His Dog" is supposedly a part of and his autobiography, Working Without a Net which, according to Babylon 5, does eventually see the light of day.

Patience will be rewarded, Grasshopper.

I'm one of those oldy-moldies on the board who lived through the '70s when *gasp* there was no internet and we lived on rumors and vague reports in the odd magazine article about the new series -- no, wait, it's going to be a movie -- no, a series -- no, there's going to be a new *shock-of-shocks* fourth network anchored by a new Star Trek series -- no, it's going to be a movie ....

You get the idea.

I LOVE Exeter and I want to see the finale of "TI} as much as anyone else, but -- seriously -- after living through the '70s, anything short of 7 years is nothing more than a minor delay. ;)

Looking forward to the final installment, guys!

^^ Me, too. But at least we didn't have to wait seven years for the second half of "Spock's Brain."

Wait....

Ah, yes. I love the guy, but Harlan is Harlan.

Yes, my child, 'tis true. No internet, and we actually had to get up and walk across the room and manually turn a knob on our console television sets to change the channel or volume. And our music was recorded on large vinyl discs that were susceptible to damage. Oh yes, and there was a dark evil falling across the land, tainting everyone it touched. It was known as ... POLYESTER! :p

:( Now I'm afraid of these... 70s as you call them :guffaw: Think it'll be 2070 by the time the third Exeter episode is finished, even if there is one?

Maybe 2270 and it will be filmed on the real Exeter. That may speed up things a bit. :guffaw:

The sad fact is, if you were born before 1990, which is almost everyone here, WE DO remember life before the internet, even if it seems hard to believe now.

Tell me about it. I was actually born before 1970.

And seriously, I very clearly remember life before the internet. I've actually only been online for ... well, what do you know, almost 10 years to the day. But, while I remember very well what life before was like, I'm amazed how dependent I've become on the internet. I needed to look up a business address the other day, but it wasn't coming up online, and a friend told me to try the Yellow Pages. My first reaction was :wtf: and then :o that it hadn't occurred to me. :borg:

Yes, for somebody born in 1961, I've adapted quite nicely to the internet age. :D

There's somebody here older than me?!? :) :) :)

Only by one year, though. And to stay on topic...

WHERE"S MY EXETER!!!

:)

I'm older than either one of you...

But I doubt if I'll die of old age waiting for the last parts of Exeter to come out.

Right Jimm?

Jimm....?

:D
