You won't get paid for it, but you could always write the stories as fanfic! The events of Procyon V could still be a thing if there was some temporal thing going on.
I wish I was a author. I’ve got some good ideas for the J over the years which could make some good stories.
The Enterprise J is from our hundred years into the future.
So every Enterprise is replaced within a hundred years?
Those ships aren't build to last aren't they?
Remember, as per Voyager's "Relativity" they merge duplicates/alternates of time travellers so it's possible he's a hybrid of the Daniels of the previous timeline and the new.If this is an alternate future, then this can't be the same Daniels from earlier episodes
As has been mentioned, the Enterprise-J is from an alternate future where the Sphere Builders expanded the Expanse from the 22nd century to the 26th. So every Enterprise built after the NX-01 would have been a different ship than the Enterprises from the prime timeline. Since the Enterprise-J resembles a futuristic version of the NX-01, all of the other Enterprises from nil to I probably resembled the NX-01 as well (and probably didn’t last long since there was continuous war between the Federation and the Sphere Builders from the 22nd century onwards.)
Also remember that in the prime timeline, there was an 84 year gap between the decommissioning of the NX-01 and the construction of the TOS Enterprise. In the Enterprise-J timeline, that would have been different.
While this exact future was erased due to the sphere network being destroyed, there's no reason the Sphere Builders couldn't try again and for there to be a Battle of Procyon V in the Prime Universe's 26th Century with a similar looking Enterprise-J taking part in it.
There was almost an animated Trek webseries called Final Frontier which would have featured a computer AI called M.A.J.E.L.I imagine that it also has a sentient AI Intelligence like Andromeda. I would call her Lizzie.
It really bothers me that the E-J is supposed to be miles across with skylights instead of Windows, yet the Altair class is scaled right down without changing the textures. Laaaaaaazy CG work.I think it is important to remember that the E-J we saw in season 3 of Enterprise was from an alternate timeline. So any actually E-J that exists/existed (and I prefer to think that there was one) could look very different.
I do like the "Universe class" (the E-J's class) we saw...but just not as the Enterprise J. Because it's really just a furute version of the NX class, not of the later versions of Enterprise.
And it's possible that in the future they revive older general hull configurations, I mean, just look at how the Akira class has design elements of the "younger" NX class (in reality, of course, the Akira came first, and it's design was modified into the NX when the ship designers ran out of ideas or something.)

But as it bypasses the later style/lineage of the 1701 enterprises, I prefer something more like this design, as it sports the 2 hull configuration of the previous 1701 Enterprises - so maybe in the Prime timeline, we could get an E-J that looks more like this:

Of course, it's in reality just the Altair class (an earlier rejected Voyager design, I think) with a Universe-type saucer mounted on top:

I wouldn't want them to discard the Universe class type all together, but in my head I prefer to think of it as a having a similar relationship to the ship design on top, and the Miranda class has to the Constitution class, or the Nebula class has to the Galaxy class...

I would even include the Altair class, as a straight up combat ship, but without the need to keep dropping a huge saucer section every time it's about to go into battle. Sort of like if somebody built just a Galaxy class stardrive section for purposes of fighting the Borg and the Dominion..
My only issue with all these ships is that they look too flat, and most of those windows on the saucer section would actually be pointing straight up, so they'd be more like skylights than windows.
Maybe a higher resolution version of the ship would correct that problem, as I understand that the E-J used in Enterprise was created in a hurry, at a low rez.
I'm also wondering about it's size. Those low-detail windows and surface features give it the impression (to me) of being larger than it actually is supposed to be. Which is about this size...(and not the miles long it appears in my mind.)

The New Frontier novels also had that idea with Majel as well. She goes mad though. There was almost an animated Trek webseries called Final Frontier which would have featured a computer AI called M.A.J.E.L.
As in, Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, who voiced Trek computers right up to and including the 2009 reboot.
It really bothers me that the E-J is supposed to be miles across with skylights instead of Windows, yet the Altair class is scaled right down without changing the textures. Laaaaaaazy CG work.
Here are some better, more detailed, renderings of the Universe class.
This first one I can't download, so it's here: https://www.deviantart.com/kurumi-morishita/art/Universe-Class-003-683742463
And here's one I found already on imgur:![]()
Both of these images make the E-J looks like a small city in space. But none really solve the window-skylight issue.
It's worth pointing out that the model there isn't quite from the episode, where it's only briefly seen as a computer graphic. The one we see everywhere and that Eaglemoss merchandised was one made/modified afterwards to sell calendars. If you want a high detailed picture of the J, You can always commission one from Samuel over at the Trekyards channel on YouTube. He owns the official model from Drexler.
