Apparently this show has a few Doctor Who reference

And a figure that's probably annoying the BBC. They could probably sue if they really wanted to.

I've never watched MLP but I've had to write about it enough at work that I have the basics down -- I've worked out how Doctor Whooves really is the Doctor. (I've explained my theory to people who do know MLP, and they say that it works.)

Equestria Girls introduced a portal between Equestria and our world. When the Ponies go through the portal, they turn human. When they go back through the portal, they turn into Ponies. So, the Doctor could go through the portal into Equestria and turn into a Pony.

There's already at least one fan animation showing the Doctor falling through a vortex or something and waking up having regenerated into a pony, and subsequenetly having adventures with Derpy. Youtube it.

I laughed at this cameo, because it was that much more overt than this character's other background appearances. Yay for fans affecting a show they love!
