Do you still want to see a 4th film?

  • YES!

  • Yes... if they make another one.

  • No, I don't like these movies.

  • No, I've moved on to streaming Trek.

  • It depends on what the 4th film is.

Do you still want to see a 4th film? Loved the first and third, had issues with the 2nd but still enjoyed it. However, it's been 8 years since the third movie came out. The trilogy brought Star Trek back, and since then, we've had four more shows (Discovery, Shorts, Picard, Strange New Worlds) with a 5th on the way (Starfleet Academy) plus two animated shows (Lower Decks and Prodigy). I feel like we've moved on from the trilogy. Now, "if" they do another one, sure, I'll go see it, but it's not something I'm "wanting" to be made. I am glad we're getting a 14th film in the form of Section 31.

If they break the mold of human antagonist who wants revenge on Starfleet/the Federation.

If they set it in the years that the TOS films take place, it might be interesting to see how much the characters' fate diverge from the prime universe.

Would they even go as far as to make a Kelvin version of a prime universe film?

I know, they did this 4 movies in a row, we need something else.

I don't think the cast is old enough for this. They'd probably fall into the time frame between TOS and TMP or between TMP and TWOK. It depends on whether you place TMP closer to TOS or to TWOK.

Yes but not if it's the George Kirk story. I lost a lot of faith with the powers that be, that they thought finding George in the Kevin's transporter buffer was a good idea. It would have completely undermined his heroic sacrifice by making it not a sacrifice at all. There are SO MANY other ways to bring him back.

I loved Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness very much, and thought Beyond was pretty good. I grew up with TNG, but the Kelvin Universe is "my" Trek.

I need to rewatch these movies.

Better an Abramsverse film without Section 31 than a Prime Universe film about Section 31.

(Then again, I'd personally rather endure simultaneous root canal work and hemorrhoid surgery than see a Prime Universe film about Section 31. And I'd certainly find watching my own colonoscopy, live, more entertaining than a Section 31 film.)

Nobody's making you watch it, dude:lol:

I like Marvel, but I'm not watching half their stuff:shrug:

Personally, I wouldn't mind some cloak-and-dagger spy stuff in the 23rd century, If It Was Done Well (tm). I'm not a huge fan of Section 31, and I'm not sure if S31 is exactly the right avenue for such an idea, but I would be watching in any case.

We already have a thread for this purpose.

Please refer to "The ongoing next Star Trek movie thread".

Thanks! :)
