Dunno, but if he isn't, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the TV series left him in a happy new home a long way from the Federation instead of bringing him to Earth. You just know it's got to be those nasty novelists' fault for not ignoring what happened on the TV series.

well since that particular plot-point you're bitching about is... eight years old, i think whinging about it is pretty daft. that's like whining if i tell you Soylent Green is people or Bruce Willis is dead in Sixth Sense or something.

Just because something is old and you think everyone should know all about it, not using the spoiler code is a bad idea. What if I didn't know about your spoilers? You'd have spoiled things for me. Especially Sixth Sense as that is the one thing that if you know in advance, the entire movie is ruined. So please, just use spoiler codes and be done with it.

Then by that logic, every thing that has occured in Trek should be hidden behind spoiler code which to be honest is down right stupid. Also, it's a persons responsibility to avoid spoilers and not the person spoiling to hide it.

Thanks for a spoiler that didn't need to be spoiled for those how have not yet read what you've spoiled. Please use the spoiler code when giving out spoilers even as an example.

My apologies. There must be a lot of threads you have to avoid, because that's a very old storyline now, and it does seem to get discussed a lot, with the character turning up often. The recent comic mini-series had lots of people asking for explanations, and IIRC most back cover blurbs since "Being Human" have assumed everyone knew by now.

Well, I guess we could combine the two and discuss spoilers for the Lost in Space episode "The Great Vegetable Rebellion"...
