Besides, without the pitcher batting, you would have had an actual hitter in that spot, and just might have gotten those 4 runs in chunks rather than at once. Or, better yet, the DH and Shane could have gone back to back with HRs

Psht, that memory's perfect as-is. Brett Myers besting Sabathia. Awesome. Far better than, say, Chase Utley beating Sabathia (although...with the way he's hitting lately, he may as well try his hand at pitching)

I dont so much like the DH as much as I like having two leagues with one being DH and one having the pitcher bat. It's always exciting getting to see combos that you normally won't see. Mariano Rivera batting? Awesome

Why are pitcher batting averages so low? Are they not able to participate in batting practice on rest days or something?
