Deleted scenes on "unseen" sets....

I got to thinking that almost all Trek movie deleted scenes are on sets that we see elsewhere in the completed film. As opposed to scenes in locations or sets that were entirely cut from the movie.

I am trying to think of scenes that featured unseen sets or locations....

Off the top of my head....

The "Memory Wall" from Trek I
Admiral Nogura's office from Trek I.....built but not filmed on.
The "Hall of Ancient Thought" set from Trek III
The "Steps of Mt. Selaya" that we see from a distance but not on the actual steps that were built in Trek III
The Fed HQ elevator that Chapel and Sarek ride in from Trek IV

wow, that's not a lot. Any more

Not sure I'd really count Nogura's office, since that was built mainly for "In Thy Image," and the scene was cut from the script long before filming began.

There’s the whole ambassadors rooms scenes fromV that I think were on different sets weren’t they?

Out-takes from the Memory Wall might make for a good bottle episode…it playing as security footage for a TMP tale with new actors

"Star Trek: Generations"

The whole opening with Kirk orbital diving and landing where Chekov and Scotty meet him in a field, deleted. Location only seen in said deleted scene.

^Good one!
But they are rare aren't they?
They very rarely built sets or went to location and didn't end up using it in the movie.

Just remembered.....
the exterior of the airlock from TMP was unseen until the ABC TV version (SLV version) was aired.
So that's one rescued by an alternate version of a movie

How about the scene from Star Trek VI where the Federation President (With his wife?) and the Klingon Chancellor meet for the first time at Camp Khitomer? That looked like a set we didn't get to see in the final movie.

If it counts, the rock creature battle from "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier". Probably showed parts of the set not seen, not to mention the rock creatures (though you technically briefly spot one in the final film edit).

Great topic!

I'm not sure how completely this qualifies. From TOS:

There's a deleted scene in "Elaan of Troyius" in the arboretum.

This set was used again in "And the Children Shall Lead" and (it is presumed, unless what follows was an entirely different set) then redressed for "Is There in Truth No Beauty?".

What these sources don't discuss is how closely the set seen in "And the Children Shall Lead" matches how it was for the deleted scene in "Elaan of Troyius".
