I've gotta say I love when people are thorough, and being new you have some great perspective. So, don't be shy!

T'Pol definitely cheers Archer up, much in the same way Spock used to cheer Kirk up. I've always liked that dynamic. Since Spock, the epitome of Vulcan logic to me, can "cheer up" humans, I think it's okay T'Pol does.

Indirectly, the first two seasons dealt with the prime directive issues even if the need for such a directive wasn't mentioned outright. In fact, it was mentioned directly in the first season with the Phlox-centric episode with the Menk and the Velakians (sp?).
