Circuit City to Liquidate.

"Welcome to Circuit City, where out merchandise is liquidated state-of-the-art."

I hated that place. Their prices were always unecessarily higher than others, the service bad, and the store feel just made it see like someone's spruced up garage.

The one here (which I think is fully shut now) was going out of business and had signs up saying 70% off of everything in the store. Go in and there are various percentage signs for prices off -- not the 70% everywhere as promised. Douchebags deserve to go out of business.

Sad. I actually liked CC better than BB. There prices were consistantly lower on everything in their ads, than BB.
Were prices?

Anyway, are you serious? My local Best Buy honors the Internet price, even if it's lower than the store price. CC always had a meager selection, so I never shopped there.

I compared ads every week. CC would always be lower on any items that were the same in each ad. A buddy of mine is a loyal BB ad and didnt believe me. I showed him a couple of times over the last year and he finally acknowledged that CC did indeed beat BB most of the time on their ads. It was only a dollar or two but still they had the cheaper price.

That really sucks for those who are out of a job, but I will make the best of it. I need a printer, a new mp3 player, a new monitor, and maybe a new TV.

Mine always honored CC's price. I discovered this buying a video card when I coud not get a CC manager to get off their arse to come out and aprove a price match of their own website. I walked into BB, picked up the item, went to the customer service desk and they adjusted the price for me after pulling up CC's site.

After that, I'd just take the CC ad and drive the extra block to BB.

At least those people get to keep their jobs for another 60 days while everything is being sold. Hopefully they will find a new job by then.

Now it is time to get an external HD though.
