I'm selling them short, only counting:

-the 6 months before ENT premiered*
-four years of ENT
-the 6 months it took me to finally get sick of it all and bail

They're probably still at it now.

*We have enough for a bitchfest now. Six months out from ENT's premiere, we had nothing but a rumored focus group to go on. And all that Duff Tech stuff - that was PURE imagination!

I'll have to disagree with Temis.

If the insanity was actually going to start it would've already started. We wouldn't still be waiting for it. Fresh right off the press reactions are always the strongest, then like a white-hot star cools off as time progresses. Not the other way around.

At this point the only thing left on the checklist is the Enterprise. Having Kirk and Spock recast in order for them to be younger is expected. No, the main point of conflict will be over the appearance of the Enterprise and what it means about the rest of the movie not whether or not Kirk and Spock are recast.
