Thanks to @hbquikcomjamesl I made it to the final end of the book, and went back to see where some of the other choices led. But I never came across the penguins page, so I'll have to his cheatsheet to find how to get there. I want to actually follow the choices to get to it, I don't want to just cheat and flip straight to it.
EDIT: Did and now I'm officially finished. I loved, and I especially thought they way they worked the "interactive" elements into it was pretty great. And I was pretty happy with the ending and the explanations for everything that was going on.

That was the whole idea Infocom had with the Invisiclues books (printed in invisible ink, with a developer pen supplied), and later the Invisiclues built into the games themselves: graduated chains of hints, with each chain starting with a subtle nudge, and working their way to an idiot giveaway. There was always at least one "red herring" chain that was completely irrelevant to the game, and would eventually say so, along with a "just for fun" chain, clearly marked as having spoilers, that would point out Easter eggs and various other things that would produce humorous results (in Plundered Hearts, suggestions like "Kiss Crulley," "Kiss Jamison," "Spill wine on Lafond," and "Examine unmentionables"; in Leather Goddesses of Phobos, suggestions of objects you can put into an odd machine known as the "T-Remover").

If I've even roughly approximated that, I've succeeded.

I got to the penguin page, which was pretty funny, it was not what I expected it to be. So with that, I am officially done with the book. Now that I'm done, I'm giving it a outstanding.
