Characters from different "Star Trek" series who should meet

Onscreen, we got to see Data and Spock interact in an episode of TNG, and got some great comparisons and contrasting between the two. In the "Deep Space Nine" relaunch books, we also got to see Ro Laran meet Kira Nerys, and see the two Bajorans' clash over their differing opinions on their religion. It'd be great if we could see more interactions like that between characters from different "Star Trek" incarnations.

I personally like to head-canon than Ezri Dax was Seven of Nine's counselor for a time after Voyager's return to Earth, as the two have a bit in common. Both know something about being abruptly forced into a new life and identity; both know something about guilt over past murders/crimes that weren't really their fault; and of course both have had extreme difficulties adjusting socially.

I also think Seven would be great friends with Sarina Douglass (the similarities between the two are uncanny--they're even both great singers!)

I also want to think B'Elanna Torres met K'Ehleyr at some point, and that maybe the latter taught her how to utilize sarcasm to rear in her Klingon temper. Having that friend/mentor abruptly die would certainly be fitting with B'Elanna's crappy life before Voyager. Having B'Elanna meet another TNG hybrid like Sela or Ba'el would also be interesting.

Moving away from Voyager, I guess it would make sense for Ezri to run into Deanna Troi at some point. Not only could Troi mentor her a bit in counseling, but it'd be interesting to see what a (half) Betazoid would sense from a joined Trill. (Would she sense two distinct minds, or one?)

What are some characters from different series/movies/games/etc. you'd like to see meet or interact?

I'd be more likely to pair-up people who would bounce off of each other rather than them being alike. A Picard/Garak debate, or Bashir and Pulaski working together. Quark and Neelix maybe?

I'd love to see the Admiral Archer/Scotty/transwarp beaming/prize beagle backstory fleshed out.

And a Michael Burnham/Spock team-up is all but inevitable.

Janeway meets Jadzia Dax. In at episode of the podcast, To the Journey, they proposed that Dax would have been an excellent mid-series addition to Voyager. I think that Dax would have made a more interesting, and challenging, counterpart to Janeway.

Picard meets Garak. Nemesis needed a stronger espionage element, and how could one not delight in Picard wrapping his head around Garak's concepts of fact and truth.

I love Dax, and I'm not against her on Voyager. But it seems like a random decision to me. What would Dax add to Voyager, and in particular Janeway?

Well, if you want to know what they said on the To The Journey podcast, you'll need to listen for yourself. From my perspective, Dax showed more of a sense of Realpolitik than Chakotay, which would lend more to the discussions on Voyager, which tended to be morally simple.

So, no, not random.

Picard / Garak would have been a brilliant combo, (but that already has been mentioned).

Worf/Neelix for comic relief. Though I'm not sure how much of Neelix wouldl be left for round 2....(perhaps a scene in which Worf asks for prune juice and Neelix gives him his 'even better' rich blend?)

Probably Sisko and Janeway as dogged opponents in some matter would be interesting too (just not easy to find a credible scenario). Both would absolutely refuse to yield.

Kes and Spock, I think both of these characters would've enjoyed their time together.

Jadzia Dax (from season 1-3) and Trelane, I could imagine the kind of mind games these characters would play with each other.

Dr. McCoy and Ben Sisko (from season 1-3) two men away from the federation frontier and talking about food, where they're from and discussing the loss of a loved one.

I just want to see Lorca and Picard stranded somewhere together. Just imagine Lorca's reaction to the moment Picard starts giving one of his self-righteous holier-than-thou speeches. I always thought the Nexus was a silly concept, but I would gladly look past it if it allowed these two to meet.

And yes, DS9 and Voyager absolutely should have crossed over more. They had far more in common with each other than either of them did with TNG. (But TNG cameos was the way to get the ratings in I suppose.)
