Cast the Characters of Trek Literature

For reasons passing understanding, I immediately saw Unverzagt as Joe Manganiello.

Is there a character who has shown up in more books with less description than Joanna Faur? (Sorry, I'm new, so I apologize if that's been covered.)

IIRC, Conlon is a brown-haired, pony-tailed young Human woman, and Faur is a red-haired, short-haired young Human woman. I envision Conlon as the big sister type. Was Faur covered in more detail in Armageddon's Arrow?

No, I don't believe she was. And I could swear she (Faur) was a brunette.

T'Ryssa Chen: Chloe Bennet (Agents of SHIELD)

You know, I never considered this myself, but I've been reading Armageddon's Arrow and it suddenly struck me that it could actually work. Maybe with the shorter hair she now has on AoS, she looks the part a bit more, and she could capture Trys's attitude and snark well. Her voice is significantly different from what I've always imagined for Trys, and she's a bit too good-looking, but I guess now that I haven't written the character in a while and have a bit more mental distance, I'm able to see an alternative.

I haven't gotten to Armageddon's Arrow in my reading yet: does Chen have a big role in that novel?

After reading the Struggle Within last month, I'm now firmly embedded in the pro-Chen camp of Treklit readers.:)

I've thought that Chloe Bennet could be a great Trys for a while now. She has a lot of that same anti-authoritarian spunk about her, and Daisy/Skye's relationship with Coulson reminds me a lot of Trys's relationship with Picard.

I don't know why, but I've gotten the idea in my head of Baras Rodirya/Ishan Anjar as portrayed by A Martinez. This is strongly influenced by his Jacob Nighthorse character from Longmire.

Your mention of the voice being different brings another casting question to mind. Say animated adventures were being produced, who could you see as her voice actor?

Hard to say. My kneejerk choice for any female voice casting is Tara Strong or Grey DeLisle, either of whom would probably be good. Looking a bit farther afield, maybe Janice Kawaye? Or maybe Tiya Sircar from Star Wars Rebels. Maybe even Ashley Eckstein, or Kristen Bell.

I'm sorry, if this has been discussed already. But I'm currently reading the Voyager relaunch novels. Who would be suited to play Janeway's sister Phoebe and her mother Gretchen. Or Julia, Moira and Kathleen Paris? I have to admit that Tom's sisters hardly apear. But I don't have any pictures of those characters in my head.

Any suggestions?
I believe Gretchen Janeway was described as being tall and blonde, looking quite unlike Kathryn.
Faye Dunaway maybe?

Although it doesn't match the description I keep picturing Gretchen as Admiral Janeway from Endgame.

I recently re-read Greater Than the Sum, and now I cannot see anyone but Kimiko Glenn as T'Ryssa Chen.

(Tangentially, what a difference time makes! The first time around, I hated Chen, to a genuinely startling degree. I dismissed her contemptuously as a "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" and bemoaned the fact that she'd be sticking around. This time, while I'm not ready to declare her my favorite character, I certainly don't hate her. At all.)

For whatever reason, I always cast Nan Bacco as looking and sounding like Future Janeway Despite there really being no connection there.

Oh, Soso is good casting for T'ryssa.
