Bones Season Finale SUCKS!!! *spoilers*

This was the most wasted bullshit I have seen since last night's LOST! I mean really it's horrible. Let's have 99% of it be a dream, and frankly it was just a really really stupid dream at that! I can't believe... sheeshhh... horrible!

Id anyone watch this trash? "Who are you?" I used to be a fan of the show! That's who I am!

Can i have Boston Legal back please? Everything else I watch has been a disappointment this season.

I watched it too. Knew it had to be a dream sequence, and was disappointed.

Now to see what they do with the next season, given Booth's last line...

No matter what, I'm still gonna watch it out of habit.

Isn't that true? It's really hard to stop watching something, even when it's gotten to be bad. But I'm hoping that this is a fluke (and that maybe they'll figure out a way to bring Zach back for real, or at least pick one of the rotating lab guys and stick with them. But I think the show's been noticeably worse since they got rid of Zach.)

I read, that Hart Hanson (the show creator) always wanted to do an alternative reality episode, and this seemed to have been it.

It was okay, nothing great, but Bones is repetitive, so nothing much to expect either.

I also totally forgot about Booth's brain surgery, so I was caught little off guard with the last scene, even though it was no surprise, even Booth's last line, which had to be there, otherwise what kind of cliffhanger would they have?

I will be there for the next season's premiere, but if they will not progress on Bones' and and Booth's relationship, I will stop watching it, again.

So, now I'm anxious what 30 Rock has to offer tonight.
After that, the big summer hiatus is beginning, isn't it?

Also Booth went "Wow I had a strange dream", if he can't remember anything, or at least can't remember Bones then how does he know it was strange?! Shouldn't he have thought that bones was his wife?

I never have high exceptions when i watch bones but this ep was the biggest pile of crap i have seen since enterprise.

Sorry, but I thought it was awesome.

Booth said "Wow I had a strange dream" because he had a strange dream. It doesn't really require a very broad frame of reference about one's own reality to recognize weirdness.

I've been comatose, experienced weird coma dreams, and eventually awoke with some temporary memory loss. I can tell you that I knew my coma-dreams were "weird" the moment I woke up, even though I didn't have a complete set of "real" memories to judge them against.

Shouldn't he have thought that bones was his wife?
Why would he have thought that?

Oh, I get it. You're clearly assuming that the episode we saw was Booth's dream. Yet I'm pretty sure that this is NOT the case. Because we saw Bones writing the narration to that story in her laptop, while sitting vigil at Booth's bedside. Did you assume she was reading his mind? I didn't. I assumed that she was filling those hours of tedious waiting, by writing the work of fiction that appeared in the episode.

The episode was what she was writing, not what he was dreaming. We have no idea if Bones or some fantasy equivalent of her even appeared in Booth's weird dream at all, let alone what kind of relationship, if any, may have existed between the two of them.

Bones has had isuues since the 3rd season finale BUT this year has been lackluster for Bones. I still enjoy it due to the cast chemistry and humor but season 5, if we get one which I expect (but with the demo don't rule out FOX doing a bone headed thing) then season 5 needs to be better or Bones will end next year because viewers will lose interest.

ps - This show has problems with season finales, I agree awful episode worse Bones has ever done.

It won't end next year. There are rumors of Dollhouse living on with huge budget cuts. If a show will less than 3 million viewers lives and a show with 8-9 million doesn't than Fox is even dumber than I think, and I think pretty lowly of them.

I thought it was great. Everybody got to play variations on their characters and we got to see almost all the interns in the same episode. Bones noir. It was a lot of fun, and I'll bet the cast had a blast doing it.

I got the impression they were trying to suggest some link between what she was writing and what he was dreaming; sort of like in the tag to that episode where he saw the "ghost" of Parker.

If FOX keeps moving it all the time + history of longer a show goes on viewers erosion occurs + dodgy writing + this low demo has me really worried (used to be 2.7-3.0 but now its dropped bad).

Bones could struggle next year but I would agree if it holds with 8/9 million next season, worst I would do is give a 6th season the friday anchor job.

Interesting episode, but not for a season ender....

We already know what will happen next.

They certainly implied a connection, but I believe this was merely to add to the confusion; to generally "heighten" the ep's cliffhangeriness. (Cliffhangery: You heard it here first!:))

Yeah, I think they're trying to leave it vague, like they did with Parker. At the end of the episode, Brennan spoke to him but this brain tumor revelation pretty much clinches it that he was a hallucination. So now she's spoken to one of Booth's hallucinations and written down one of his dreams. A storytelling wink or something more...? :D

I assumed Brennan had been reading her story to Booth, which gave him the weird dreams, which we saw as the episode. Oh well, doesn't really matter much.

I loved the episode - thought it was great fun to see actors we hadn't seen in a while, as well as seeing everyone get to play slightly off-kilter versions of their characters. And it was fun to see Zach again. My one disappointment was the amnesia cliffhanger. Seriously, how cliché can we get? :p

The show was picked up... for two seasons....

Make no bones about it: Fox is making a big-time commitment to Bones. Following weeks of rumors that the four-year-old romantic comedy (The Asshole doesn't seem to watch the show) might jump networks over a license-fee disagreement, Fox has renewed the show for not one but two more seasons, sources confirm to me exclusively.

^Hmm, I was just thinking I hope next season is the last so they can wrap it up without dragging it out too long. It might be ok, but I'm skeptical that they have a full 2 seasons of character story left witout getting (more) repetative. I'm going to hope they come up with some way to bring Zach back if they're goign to put us through two more seasons...

I enjoyed the episode, it was a nice change of pace for all the characters, though I thought the thing with Hodgins being a mystery writer was kind of contrived and bizarre. Nice to see Zach again, and the rest of the interns were finally tolerable in this one.
