The last three movies gave us TOS-style uniforms.

Now with the crew moving on to the Enterprise-A, should the fourth movie give us an updated look for the red tunics used from Treks II - VI?

What do you think?

I like the Beyond uniforms but it just looks too formal whereas the previous ones from 2009 and Into Darkness looked really casual. Would take a while to get used to though. The collar also kinda reminded me of the TNG uniforms the crew wore from season 3.. I doubt they would change it up again now that they are on the Ent-A. It'll probably stay the same for the sequel to Beyond.

We all know what the uniforms have to look like in the next movie. It's time to give in and embrace the Decker Unit.

In 3 movies, they've already had 2 different uniforms. (Not counting the many other uniforms we''ve seen, dress uniforms, shuttle uniforms, starbase Uniforms) Let them keep what's already there for awhile.

I agree, there have been waaaaaay too many uniforms in the the Nu-trek movies.

Division Specific Space Suit
Admiral Uniforms

Star Trek: Into Darkness:
Lava Suit
Division Specific Dive Suits
Division Specific Space Suits
Officer Ground Uniforms 2.0
Officer Space Uniforms
Officers Shuttle Uniforms?
Admiral Uniforms

Star Trek: Beyond:
Officer Space Uniforms 2.0
Officer Ground Uniforms 3.0
Escape Pod Uniforms
Franklin Uniforms
Franklin Engineer's Jacket

I really like the new uniforms and hope they keep them going forward. More TOS in overall look with the higher collar I like from the Season 3-7 TNG uniforms. I may just have to get one of the Anovos replicas.

I love all the uniform porn in the last 3 movies. Beyond did a great job in that department.

I voted for them to stick with the TOS style, I don't think I want to see the red tunics yet.

The new uniforms are great, but the truth is that the red uniforms used from TWOK through TUC are my very favorite Star Trek uniforms, so I'd love if they used them.

The more I see of these uniforms, the more I like them. It's not necessarily what I would have done but I do love the fact that they have finally created a range of uniforms that properly work together. (To be honest, I'm afraid the printed pyjama tops and biker pants of the first two JJ movies never really worked for me.)

I definitely prefer the more formal look of the new "standard" uniforms, and the grey Yorktown uniforms very much seem to be the Kelvin timeline's equivalent of the original DS9 (and Voyager) utility jumpsuit, compared to the new standard uniforms being more like the late-seasons TNG duty uniforms. The collars and darker side-panels definitely hint at a TNG-type vibe.

I'm also impressed that they took the obvious steps of converting the sleeve stripes to bars for use on the collars of the utility uniform. I've been itching to use that concept in an alternative utility uniform design for the prime TOS era, but using the original-pattern stripes. I guess the nearest canonical equivalent is the shoulder straps from TMP.

I'm looking forward to better images of some of the other costumes but, so far, i like what they have done. Overall, this is much more like what I imagined they would have used for ST and STID. They should definitely keep these for the next sequel and beyond.

I would keep these uniforms all the way. Even though I thought they originally looked too stiff and formal, they looked good in action.
Yeah, that was my thought. They really looked good in the action sequences. They may seem formal-looking only because the previous design was very casual, IMO.
