Best XM radio station...

I just bought a new Saturn Vue. So I can get OnStar and GPS built into the car. Well it comes with XM radio. I have never intended to get XM, I like regular radio just okay. I mostly listen to AM anyway and if I want to listen to music, I plug in my iPhone and listen to my music.

Well I was going thru the XM radio stations when I happen upon Cinemagic. This station plays non-stop movie soundtracks and not small cuts, the entire thing. Sometimes they even play dialog from the movies the soundtrack is from. Being a major movie geek, most of the CD's I own are soundtracks. This is like the best radio station ever.

Just thought I would share.

we have it on our Direct TV and every once in awhile I tune to the Broadway channel.

Just one c\song at a time and sometimes full scores with discussion...very PBS sort of thing but very interesting.

I'll have to go through again and see if I can find the one you found.

Not worth getting outside the TV package, not yet anyway, but fun.

Yeah, Cinemagic is one of my favorites, too. I love when they get a theme going on certain days and you'll have an hour of Trek, sci-fi, horror, etc. I like the brief dialogue segues into the next part of the movie's score/soundtrack.

Other than that, I'm usually hanging around between 40 and 54 for the rock stuff, the comedy channels and sports talk...as well as some of the decades channels. Oh, how I love the XPress Rs and all the great features they have right now. I have a car stereo, but since I bought it, I haven't listened to the FM/AM radio even for a minute. I'm strictly XM/iPod in the car.

BPM is my personal favorite and the station I spend BY FAR the most amount of time listening to.

Most of my music listening time is spent on the System, Lucy, the 80's and 90's stations, U-Pop and XM Chill. As pointed out, Cinemagic is really good as well.

I've also taken a liking to the BBC World Service and POTUS 08 stations, if you're looking for non-musical ones.

Going back to FM after XM or Sirius is absolutely PAINFUL if you find a station or stations you really like.

For me, my presets are on Top Tracks(46), Big Tracks(49), Lucy(54), MLB Home Plate(175), and maybe the 80's on 8. If I am in the mood, I will listen to the Broadway channel or Cinemagic, or the comedy stations. Although my presets temporarily change during the golf major championships (to 146), the MLB Playoffs (where my radio is preset to at least one of the play-by-play channels), and the Big East channel during college football season.

Yeah, after XM, I cannot go back to regular radio.

I love my XM radio. I never thought I would pay for radio but once I tried it I was hooked. I can't stand listening to the local FM stations anymore. Their commericials drive me crazy. It also doesn't help living in a remote area and only getting a few station. Country and easy listening during the day is about all I get.

My favorite XM station is Squizz(48) The DJ's are awesome, very funny stuff. Other ones I listen to a lot are 20 on 20, Ethel, Lucy, 90s, and KISS.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I never thought that I would like XM but I have found myself listening to nothing else. Just a programming note, because today is Friday the 13th. Cinemagic is doing nothing but horror tunes. Way cool!
