Best Trek PC Game?

Okay, so I want to buy the best Trek computer game. Which one do you highly recommend?

-Aaron

First-person shooter: Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force

Real-time strategy: Star Trek: Armada

Old-style adventure game: Star Trek 25th Anniversary or its sequel, Star Trek: Judgement Rites

Other games that I liked, which others and myself may have found flaws: Star Trek: Elite Force 2, Star Trek: Bridge Commander, Star Trek: A Final Unity, Star Trek: Hidden Evil, Star Trek: Generations, etc.

Depends what kind of games you like. My personal favorite is Bridge Commander. With all of the mods available for it now it's nothing like it was straight out of the box.

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force was cool as well. Better then Elite Force 2.

I can't let Klingon Academy go unmentioned. It's still on my PC and I still play it now and again.

I agree. Klingon Academy w/400+ mods.
The best, most perfect of any PC game I ever played.
Still to this day.

I was just thinking about KA earlier today. It is, indeed, freaking sweet, especially if you're a Christopher Plummer fan.

ST: Birth of the Federation. I just LOVE to make history from time to time ( and once again unite the galaxy into a single Federation :) ). If only they would do a sequel, only this time including EVERYTHING, from ENT to NEM, I would buy it the day it would hit the shelves.

I think the old-style adventure games capture the Star Trek spirit best of all - A Final Unity is probably chief among them, with the classic 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites coming a close second and third.

Of the modern games, Bridge Commander is the pick of the bunch in terms of being the most like Star Trek, but just taking the game out of the box, Elite Force was a better game.

Super Star Trek was and still is the best Star Trek game ever ;)
Mostly because it was the first, I resently progrmed it back onto my old 486 it's still as fun to play.....

Amen.
I would love a modern release with updates graphics and gameplay, but it would still have to maintain that same spirit of the original.

Amen to that!

I've only ever played Bridge Commander. It's pretty awesome. I haven't tried any mods, though (my friend downloaded one for me but couldn't get it to work.)

The best, as in "What captures Trek the most", to my mind, would be 25th Anniversary. Some of the others may be decent games, but they're just not Star Trek in spirit.

It's Birth of the Federation for me as well.

And yes, I'd pay a lot for an updated version of the game that includes elements from all 5 series.
