Are the pointed sideburns gone?

Minor nitpick, but one of the most consistent elements of men's grooming in Star Trek has been the pointy sideburn. It began on TOS and was used on every show other than ENT (presumably they didn't come into fashion yet in men's grooming). I don't think I've noticed them on any of the men, but I haven't been looking very closely. Has anyone else?

This nitpick isn't quite accurate, since the pointed sideburns were not standard-issue grooming for everyone in The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before. I think Spock was the only one who had them; he must have started a trend.

So not everybody in STD has to have them either.

I just looked at a pic and Lorca doesn't have pointy sideburns. I guess the pointy sideburns went away with the Go-Go boots and mini-skirts.

Actually, Lorca could improve his image with lambchops and stash like Lemmy from Motorhead.

They're just not in style yet. And they don't have to be, since they weren't in the earliest episodes of TOS either.

True enough. But it's funny they stayed in style for a century following coming into fashion. I think all the men on Voyager had them after all.
