Spoilers Agents of SHIELD- The Final Season Discussion

Looking forward to the final AoS season.

I think the time travel stuff, no matter in what reality or based on what rules is a fantastic chance to revisit or show historical AoS/MCU moments and have cameos of fan favorite characters, no matter their status. (Especially hoping for Peggy Carter and the original Jarvis)
Ideally at least a decent story and a full fan service moments season combined into one ;)

I really hope we get to see Peggy Carter and Jarvis. I'm amazed that they didn't revive the series for Disney+, given the enthusiasm of the fan base.

"Enthusiastic" has never translated to "large." It doesn't matter how passionate the individual fans are if there aren't enough of them to make a production profitable.

(And before anyone points out that enthusiasm made the "Snyder Cut" happen, I very much doubt that would've happened if Hollywood weren't starving for material to release during the shutdown.)

The show returns tonight and I... Return to work.

Anyway, here is a less than adequate recap of season 6...

saw Ep 1 of Season 7 today.

What a fun mix of references/call backs or call aheads lol, decent set up of probably the main storyline.

looking forward to Ep 2

"Careful, your fanboy is showing."

Welcome back, old friend! I wish I had rewatched at least the season 6 finale because my crappy memory couldn't remember exactly what happened to Fitz and Simmons, or what was going on exactly with May and Yo-Yo (although I figured it out for those two pretty quickly). Nonetheless, it was fun to see everyone back in action, trying to adapt to the early 1930s, and figure out what the fuck the Chronicoms are up to. I liked the fake out with FDR which made a lot of sense (especially for this The Man in the High Castle fan) and instead it was Gideon Malick's father who was the target. And now we know why HYDRA has to be pre-saved. Oh, boy!

But the best part: The long overdue return of Patton Oswalt as Koenig! Even with the inevitable time hopping, I hope we see plenty more of Oswalt as various Koenigs. :D

As for that expected time hopping, I'm guessing the Chronicoms keep jumping to different points in time to prevent SHIELD's creation with our heroes right on their heels. What I'm not sure about is what's going on with May (hopefully nothing as pedestrian as being possessed by Izel) or what Fitz is doing and how he'll play into this season (and here's hoping for not another long separation from Simmons),

Lastly, I love how both Daisy and Mack deal with the overt sexism and racism of the times with aplomb.

I'm curious about the second 1930s Koenig (codename "Gemini," the bartender referring to him as "the twins").

That was a really fun premier. I didn't like season 6 at all, but this season already has me interested. I can't wait to see how they wrap this all up.

That was a lot of fun. I could have used a "Previously on AGENTS OF SHIELD" recap to refresh my memory, but managed well enough in terms of the broad strokes of the current crisis. (How was May injured again? What sort of infection was Yoyo worried about?)

Here's hoping we see a young Peggy Carter before this season is out.

May was stabbed and left for dead by Sarge and Yoyo was infected by one of the shrike aliens.

Yes to Peggy!
