Spoilers Agents of SHIELD- The Final Season Discussion

Finally finished Shield! What a ride it's been, with quite a bittersweet final episode.

I started watching last year when I noticed the first six seasons were on Dinsey+. Then by the time I was done, it was then announced that Disney+ was the home for the UK's first airing of S7 so it was win-win.

It's been such a strong season to go out on as well. The time-travelling hijinks have been the perfect way to not have to refer to where the hell Thanos was. ;) Visiting the character's pasts was a great way to both look at how far the show had come, as well as everything else happening.

I loved all of the cool retro credit sequences we had, as well, and all of the music from the different time periods. techman:

I just wish they'd done it a year earlier, so we wouldn't have to worry about how season 6 fits. In fact, I kind of wish they'd skipped season 6 altogether.

You already solved that years ago: in the AoS timeline, Thor killed Thanos in Wakanda, and prevented the Snap. ;)

What I'm saying is that, A, it would obviate the need to treat AoS as an alternate timeline if they hadn't done season 6 in the present day, and B, season 6 was the low point of the series and I'd be happier without it.

Why worry? It was a year after the blip, none of the main characters were dusted, season 6 and 7 happen 1 right after the next. By Endgame they're more or less in the status quo we see in the epilogue.

So when Agents of SHIELD initially came out I remember watching the first two seasons then for whatever reason never seem to catch it again, so in the last week I've sat myself down when I could to watch it all and it's been a fun ride.

I did hear from some that when the time skips start to stop watching, but I enjoyed the last season--like WandaVision with the new takes of the titles for each era made me smile. I will say that I was a little disappointed only to have Fitz there for an episode and missing out on the wonderful Fitz-Simmons chemistry, if they'd had a longer season run then they could've made their reconnecting the focus of a whole episode as well as explored more of Souza's man out of time angle, and I loved seeing the new May whose stoicism would've made Vulcans jealous to having to confront emotions from every direction.

Yup, already being discussed in the Snowpiercer thread.

The show is worth watching even if the science is...questionable at best. It's a lot of fun and has a fantastic cast. I'm thrilled Clark Gregg is joining them!
