And, no, I'm not talking about this boards, TNZ, Troll Kingdom or even TWoP.

BOOM

I hate the mentality behind people who start websites like this who think everything a child could be exposed to has to be tailored to them.

Maybe you should keep your little darlings away from the TV if you don't like it?

There's am article on there about them ranting about a TV-14 rated episode of "Two and Half Men" featuring a strip club.

Aparently, NO 14 year old has ever seen a good looking woman in a bikini dancing.

God.

Oh come on, at least they're funny...not intentionally mind you, but good for a solid laugh. I remember when they yellow lighted and red light Enterprise.

Ah these were the people who once labelled Friends and Buffy the 'worst shows on television' because of innuendo references to oral sex.
I've not really listened to them after that.

well..ever since "Ozzy and Harriet" got cancelled these folks had to do SOMETHING...

I'm trying to find one primetime show that gets at least a yellow. I was expecting Law and Order to get a yellow (not only does it get a red, it gets a red for violence). Scrubs gets a fucking red.

That site lists the top 20 prime time shows and says of the 20 Extreme Makeover is the most suitable and gives it a greeen light.

Personally I wouldn't let children watch Extreme Makeover because I think it sends out a terrible message to impressionable youngsters.

You do, of course, realize this THIS is a website full of people those people would want to smack..

And that we are no better than them...

Our hypocrisy runs so deep that we are just as closeminded about their beliefs as they are about ours...

By bitching about them, you give them legitimacy...

Just thought I'd point that out...

Carry on!:techman:

Website full of people I want to smack ? You just described Facebook.

This lot went after WWE Smackdown a few years ago and claimed that they had successfully convinced several major companies to withdraw their advertising from UPN - Pepsi being the largest.

Pepsi and the rest said this wasn't true and WWE sued them in to the middle of the next millennium.

:rommie: Dancing wth the Stars gets a yellow for language for using 'damn', 'hell' and 'ass'!

Deal or no Deal gets all green...

Which is?

Oops i just realised they were talking about the Extreme Makeover of people's homes not the plastic surgery Extreme Makeover which is the one that has the bad message.

The bad message is that to be happy you have to be beautiful. Some of the people, such as Deleese Williams, who get an extreme makeover aren't actually 'ugly' in the first place.

The Home Edition Extreme Makeover seems fine (I have never viewed it).

These people who want to dilute the media drive me crazy. They should go hide in a cave or move to Iran or something.

Iran gets a yellow for excessive female face and hand exposure.

:guffaw::guffaw: you win the thread.

Have you ever read Foleys second autobiography? It's got a huge section on a private study he did based on the PTC's policies.

It's a wonderful resource that I've passed on (and from the last loan haven't got back) for media students. The best part being the study used against WWE - using the same methods Foley found out Cheers was the most vile and morally incorrect program on American television.

"The f-word aired only one time on primetime broadcast TV in all of 1998 – yet it appeared 1,147 times on primetime broadcast TV in 2007 on 184 different programs."

I have NEVER heard the F word on primetime TV.
