2000 Film "Thirteen Days"

I've seen it. Some people hate Costner's accent, but I have no problem with it. I thought it was a fine historical picture that managed to stick to the facts fairly accurately.

Love that movie. It's one of those films that few have seen but everyone I've recommended it to has really enjoyed it.

i enjoyed watching the movie, thought it was a made for tv movie until I read up on it, shame it didn't well at the box office.

It's a fantastic film that manages to keep the tension level very high in spite of the fact that you already know the outcome. Bruce Greenwood and Steven Culp were perfectly cast, and Costner did a good job as well.

An excellent film. Bruce Greenwood and Steven Culp are absolutely fantastic! Greenwood is one of the few modern actors to portray Kennedy's back problems even when the script didn't demand it.

I love this film! A lot of really outstanding performances, especially from Greenwood, Culp, and Michael Fairman (as Adlai Stevenson).

very good movie. the casting is a+. I think it's an underrated gem !

a must see !

Good film with good performances all around. Vastly under-rated, IMO. If you're interested in the subject, I recommend the book One Minute to Midnight by Michael Dobbs (Vintage Books, 2008, ISBN 978-1-4000-7891-2). Dobbs really conveys just how close to the point of no return the Cuban Missile Crisis really got. Also, October Fury by Peter Huchthausen (Wiley, 2002, ISBN 0-471-41534-0) gives a good look at the naval aspects of the crisis.

I saw it in theaters and enjoyed it a lot. I went with a friend, who chose which movie to see. I remember that because it's not one I would have seen in theaters on my own. Typically historical drama is a genre I save for video, but I didn't regret seeing Thirteen Days in the theaters, which is some kind of compliment anyway. Good film.

Great film that I actually just recently watched the commentary track on despite the fact that I've had it since it was released on DVD. Great performances (especially Greenwood but also Steven Culp before he became doomed to typecasting) and showing that you don't need gunfights and chases all the time to be on the edge of your seat.

I saw the movie when it was first released. Excellent film. Great work by the lead cast, especially Greenwood. It kept me on the edge of my seat, even knowing what happens.

IA lot of really outstanding performances, especially from Greenwood, Culp, and Michael Fairman (as Adlai Stevenson).

Greenwood makes a great JFK. Culp absolutely OWNS the role of RFK (as does Kevin Conway as General LeMay). And it's interesting that the same actor played Adlai Stevenson (a peaceful man) and Adelei Niska on Firefly, who was anything but.

^Yeah that surprised when I watched the commentary track recently when I realized it was Niska!

Totally agree with you. Greenwood is one of my favorite actors, and I really bought into his performance here as JFK. Culp brought complete believability to Bobby Kennedy; the two were really superb together. It's one of my top ten films (and I loved the reference to General LeMay's nickname, 'Bombs-Away LeMay'!)
