12th Doctor Costume?

You also forget that DURING the Seventh Doctor's lifespan he abandoned the question marks. There's none to be found in The Enemy Within.
I didn't just didn't mention it. But does anyone find it's weird that at the end of T Bakers era, he suddenly randomly adopts question marks, wears them through out his 5th and 6th life, than wears them for a god chunk of his 7th incarnation before randomly scrapping them, and ever since he has never so much are looked at a question mark?
It was just a phase that the Doctor went through in his youth.
;)

Or a mid life crisis. ;)

Work in progress of another costume idea. Victorian by way of disco. Never mind the hands, I forgot to turn their layer back on.

Exactly my intent. An aging man who's concept of fashionable is a bit out of date.

Considering other colors for the suit like blue, taupe, grey, etc. but the salmon has grown on me.

Ooh, Double Meta Crisis ;)

I like it, it's very Disco-ish and quite Doctor-y looking, IMHO.

And for a Time Lord, mid-life crisis should be occuring during their third-fourth-fifth and maybe sixth regenerations. :)

I would like to see something closer to Eccleston's look. Yeah it's modern and plain, but I really liked that look.

I'm not really in love with the salmon 70s look and scarf. Wouldn't want a leather jacket on Capaldi though. I don't really want Capaldi based on a past doctor as such. Smith was clearly heavily based on the second doctor, both personality and clothes (although I got the impression that in Smiths very early episodes, Moffat wanted to hark back to the Davison years, which is why we got a younger doctor, and I heard on the Weeping Angel two parter some music which was a bit like stuff from earthshock). Tennant had his own look, but I could tell a bit that his personality took after Tom Baker a bit. And McCoy was a bit of a mash up of the first six doctors. So that's already three that have been based on at least one doctor to an extent. I want Capaldi to be his own doctor. I think a long black gothic coat would work well.

I'm not sure exactly what comparison you're making there. My concept doesn't really match any previous Doctors. I'm sure what we see in December or October (or whenever) won't look anything like it, I'm just playing around with various ideas of what I would do if given the job.

With the comparison thing, I was replying to tomalak301's post, not yours. But the scarf is Tom's thing at then end of the day. Maybe a scarf could work, but......meh.

Does anyone think a bear like this could work? I thought that a beard on the doctor would too master-like, but this could work.

I wasn't thinking emulating a past doctor, but more along the lines of a look closer to Eccleston's rather than Tennant's or Smith's. I heard something along the lines that this Doctor is going to be a little darker than the previous two doctors so a darker coat type look could work.

An alternative for those who aren't hip to the jive 70s hues.

Oh yes, this is far superior!

Not such a big fan of the scarf or the brown coat, but the last one is perfect! If we were going for a 70s feel, that would work! But I'd have black shoes and a white shirt instead. ;) Maybe a black neckerchief or whatever instead of red also. ;)
