Do they wear underwear in the future? I am starting to think that all the guys freeball it, and the women don't wear bras or panties. Do I look for this on a regular basis? No. But when I look back, I can't remember ever seen a bra strap line or any hint that the women were underwear. As for the men? It is quite clear in TMP that Decker isn't wearing any support. There is a scene in some corridor, I think between him and Kirk, and they cut to Decker's Pecker. I've only seen it once but I seem to recall that Admiral Janeway's underpinning was visible in a couple of scenes in Endgame - getting into a shuttle, I seem to recall. Didn't Marina Sirtis do some TNG "behind the scenes" programme where she talked about the underwear they wore on the show. Also, I seem to recall an episode of TOS where someone's tightywhities were visible during a fight scene. I seem to recall it was an extra but my memory is muddy and it could have been Shat.

I seem to know far more about this dubious topic than I should, clearly.

Obviously they never really mention it in any of the series. But yes, there was a show that talked about the underwear the actors had to wear. I don't remember much other than it was specifically made for Star Trek so that no "lines" were showing.
