Engineering’s newest representative, and Strange New Worlds’ resident Aenar, Hemmer, has got a brand new teaser.

Love that we’re going to see some more Aenar and Andorian stuff with a main cast member, and ‪‪I really love that Bruce Horak is playing him, providing way too rare authenticity to his part as a blind individual.

The transporter FX feels more TOSish, but with the Discovery lensflares. The sound FX is also very TOS.

The awayteam wearing jackets might be a call back to The Cage

The Transporter console has physical sliders.

Hemmer is a very an interesting character that I am not sure I fully like because it feels a bit cliched. I will be curious to see though, since there is a tinge of either confidence or arrogance to him.

I think there's maybe gonna be a competition there between Ortegas and Hemmer, as far as fan favorites are concerned.

Hemmer seems cool. He comes off a bit like early Saru (fine with me). Love the casting of a blind actor and looking forward to what he brings to the Aenar. These character teasers have been great and this is my favorite so far. Cast is shaping up to be pretty solid from what little we've seen.

Transporter guy was revealed a couple weeks back to be playing "Chief Kyle". If he's supposed to be Kyle, where's the bathrobe??

He may not be a doctor or a bartender but if I were to guess, Hemmer is going to help Pike work through knowledge of his fate.

Huh.. Interesting engineering.. Better than the cgi blot fest of the short trek..

But... Again.. Taking it to far away from Tos esthetic. Step more futuristc than an NX but not tng level of comforts ... Looks right at home in the 32nd century disco verse..

I want the wall of displays, tunnel behind etc. As said don't mind updating but making it shine and blingy is a bit much.
