I don't like the sound of this. They should keep Star Wars/Star Trek seperate... Kirk isn't Han Solo.

What's done is done. Star Trek and Star Wars are now one and the same, from here on out. There's no denying it.

As long as we don't get a scene where Kirk is romancing an alien babe and tells her that her skin is smooth not rough and coarse like sand, I can live with that. :p

I just told a couple of friends of mine about this and they both said the same thing... "Why?"

I don't understand the need to mix the two. They are two different sci-fi adventures...

Just because Pine is inspired by some characteristics of the Han Solo character, doesn't mean they'll actually be mixing Star Trek and Star Wars up. I'm not sure I understand where people are coming to that conclusion. I assumed the posts like the one I did about the Anakin's lame sand line were just joking. Star Trek and Star Wars have always had SOME similarities just by the nature of their similar settings, but there's no reason that I know of to think they'll be deliberately trying to mix Star Wars into this movie.

A Jabba-like creature should cameo as the commandant of Starfleet Academy.
Like, Jabba's good twin brother. Who doesn't hold a grudge against Han for his brother's untimely demise. He becomes Kirk's biggest supporter in the Academy.

Hey, you guys know I love Shatner.

Not only do I often defend him, but I like to think that I come off a lot less psychotic than many of his other groupies.

But that photo was begging for it.

    Shatner will forgive me.

Gotta admit, it was damned hilarious.

But yeah, seeing you of all people resort to that gag was abit of a shock. But a refreshing shock--it's nice to see you are more loyal to the yuks than to the Shat. There's a lesson there for everyone, I think.
