Yes the Command Shirts were Yellow

To be honest, I didn't understand what was motivating you to "neutralise the colour." By neutralize, I assume you mean adding something complementary.
I was trying to remove any unnatural tint and restore the actual colour of the fabric. Unfortunately getting Spock's tunic right made Kirk's brown and fixing Kirk's tunic made Spock's tunic turquoise, so that didn't work out like I hoped.

The photographic pigments must have degraded unevenly before it was scanned. The best thing about digital images is that they don't fade with age.

One of Kirks's shirts is definitely green, I guess this just applies to the captain.
Anyway, I'm ok with it since green is my favorite colour ;)

At least three for the series proper.
The first wrap-a-round with braid around the collar and no rank on the sleeves. As seen in Charlie X and Court Martial among others.
The second wrap-a-round with no braid around the collar and rank on the sleeves. As seen in The Doomsday Machine and I, Mudd among others.*
The dress uniform. As seen in Court Martial, et al.

*(The latter instances of this uniform show that black trim had been added around the collar. Perhaps the gold piping itched Shatner or something.)
