Xindi ships

Am I the only one who thinks that the peak of Star Trek ship design is the Xindi starships? They are just wonderful, innovative, creative.
You can argue that the Xindi themselves are varying levels of Power Rangers and cliche, but those SHIPS!

Meh, I found them rather generic to be honest. The Aquatic's ships look kind of alright, the Reptilian sure aren't anything too impressive, the Insectoid ships didn't really do anything for me. And the Sloth ships and Degra's ship are just reused designs anyway.

I figured I was probably the only one!
To me, the Xindi reptilian ships are quite striking, especially with the use of purple colour not normally seen on starships. They are also aggressive but elegant exteriors.
The aquatic ships to me are quite lovely and I especially like the sense of them being filled with water, quite a unique image (although we never truly get to see this, I can imagine!). This makes them feel very different to most ships and also I enjoy the 'flowing' look of the exterior that mirrors the aquatic theme.
Then the Xindi insectoid ships - again these mirror the insectoid nature in design quite cleverly and I feel like they really do stand out, shape-wise.
To each their own, but I just couldn't help being really impressed by these.

Maybe a little, but there is a three-dimensionality to the Insectoid ships that sets them apart from the Son'a ones.

I liked the massive Aquatic ship. and loved the scene where one breached and the water spilled out and turned to ice. Otherwise they seemed pretty generic sci-fi to me.

Really like all the various Xindi ship designs, especially the giant Aquatic cruiser and the Xindi weapon itself. But to be perfectly honest, if it weren't for the Eaglemoss collection, I probably wouldn't remember them so well. :shifty:

I too love that aquatic ship scene! It was something we really hadn't seen before. And the clockwork death star also looked great to me (even if that one kind of had been seen before elsewhere!).

I like the Xindi Aquatic ship's design it was a new alien ship that was really neat looking. I also likes the look of the xindi aquatic aliens too.

There was a lot about the Xindi to like... the multi-species planet was an awesome idea in a universe where most species seem monoracial... and the aquatic ships were definitely a new and different thing for the STU, one of the few acknoledgements/examples of non-humanoid space faring life.

The Xindi aquatics always bring me back to the old TNG game "A Final Unity" I just felt they would have fitted in well there.
