^^ Your pharmacy should give you the option of a regular, non-child-proof cap. If it doesn't, switch to another pharmacy.
Walgreens' Rx bottles have a top that can be used as child-proof, or flipped over for simple on/off.

My pills from the new pharmacy come in a bottle that's horrible to open. I've always been bad at opening things, but even my husband thinks the bottle is ridiculous. I dread taking my meds every night just because I know I'll have to do battle with a child safety cap first.
How about you open it once and either leave it uncovered or place the lid on top but don't secure it, that's what I do with child proof lids.![]()
You know what’s gross, though? When you buy a one-pound bag of white rice, put it on the shelf, don’t open it, and weeks later there are little bugs inside. The eggs were sealed INSIDE the damn bag! You’re eating bug eggs when you cook the rice.

I thought about that but I'm paranoid about it falling open (I keep my medicines in a drawer) and that my cat would get to them.

Keep the rice (and the flour as well since those little devils are also in there) in your freezer. Do this and you eliminate the problem. Rice and flour last forever this way.
