Winning At Badminton

I'm playing badminton with a friend tomorrow who I have to admit is a better player and I've yet to beat. I've improved because our first session was 21-7, 21-8 to him and when we played a week later I still lost again but it was closer at 21-19, 21-19. I think we're about the same in ability I just need to work out his game and crush him. He's my best mate so it's great fun having a knock about every week but I'm desperate to win a game and I know I can I just need to be more cunning with my strategy. He's a lot fitter than I am and I'm always drenched in sweat after five minutes so I need to work on pacing myself and not moving as much. Any tips on becoming a better badminton player so I can beat my friend and finally get to do a victory dance? Also any tips on the best victory dance? I'm thinking 'I told you so' from Scrubs.

Be light on your feet, leaning on the balls of your toes for quick movements.

Do not try to kill the birdie but work to keep it in play as much as possible, while making him run. If he's running you should get more time to place your shots.

Thanks for the tip I hadn't thought about the keeping it in play strategy waiting for the perfect moment rather than being opportunist and rushing it. I still haven't won a game and a big problem is his level of fitness is much higher than mine. We're about the same skill wise but after 20 minutes he's not broken a sweat and I'm drenched and my energy to lunge has plummeted. I have to bring a spare tshirt because I'm soaked after an hour. Our last game was closer he was leading 18 - 6 and I won 11 points in a row. I said I was playing for pride and it seemed to work  We both give up way too many serves by mis-hitting so I need to work on reducing unforced errors to lessen the gap. I did it at a key moment during a game which could have been a turning point.
