The first meeting between Luke and Ahsoka is a helluva thing, Canon-wise. In emotional terms, it must be a hugely important moment for the two characters, but that doesn't mean there's a particularly dramatic and exciting story to accompany it. And it's a big enough moment, and a significant enough part of Filoni's work and legacy, that I have a hard time picturing him let it be handled by a novel or comic... but CG Luke has proved controversial, and this would require more subtle acting than either of his CG appearances to date. (One wonders if the limitations of CG acting is indeed part of why that meeting hasn't been shown yet.)
For a while, I thought that, potential awkwardness aside, the scene would simply have to be shown somehow. (Imagine if The Avengers had started off with Tony, Cap, Thor, and Hulk all having been introduced!) But it doesn't seem likely that Luke and Ahsoka's paths will cross again in Ahsoka S2, so at this point, maybe it's not even worth the trouble? Or maybe it could be the focus of a CG special presentation, an animated mini-movie of whatever length (40 minutes? An hour? 90 minutes? Who knows?!), in which the big meeting takes place during an action story of some time, so it's not just two CG characters swapping stories over glasses of blue milk.
And, heck, maybe if Ahsoka dies and/or ascends to Mortis godhood at some point in S2 of her show, and never returns to the main universe in corporeal form, it'll come to be seen as a moot point, and never depicted. Or maybe Ahsoka will take a path through the World Between Worlds (where she'd give Rey her voice encouragement during the Exegol confrontation) to a point after TRoS, so she and Rey can be besties for Rey's New Jedi Order movie, with Luke a fading and irrelevant memory.
Or, heck, maybe Filoni will ultimately just shrug and let a novel or comic cover it. "Boring conversation anyway."
