Who here does not celebrate their birthday?

I usually don't celebrate my b-day, last year I was tricked into one which was arranged by my brother and my friends, was turning 50 so this was kinda a unavoidable occasion.. I don't plan on anyhthing in the future unless I get to be 100 years old..

Celebrate my Birthday? No, just another day to me. Actually starting to loth them. Turning 60 this year and I'm threatening any family member, just don't bring it up... Getting older sucks a$$...

I don't really celebrate my birthday. As much as I like the idea of it, I've always been weirded out by being the focus of everyone's attention. Added to that, over the last several years several people in my life have died within the week leading up to my birthday, including my mother who died in 2009 the day before my birthday and my best friend of 42 years dying a week after my birthday. So it's really difficult to be cheery despite people telling me that "they'd want me to celebrate". This year, last week in fact, was the first time I've ever taken off time from work for my birthday. Just chilled out and did nothing. Remembered those who passed away and just tried not to think about...well, anything. Anyway, I'm one year closer to oblivion and in the words of REM, I feel fine. lol

I'm thinking of celebrating my birthday with friends on a convention this year, I don't want to have a party anymore but knowing my mom she'll probably organise something small

A case of Benjamin Burton would be weird imagine being 9 and introducing a 90 years old as your grandchild

I try to celebrate mine. But it is kind of sad for me though, because it's more of a "You are one year older" sort of thing, being further into adulthood, further away from the innocence of youth.

No celebration in over 60 years. I do check the obituary pages weekly, to see if any of my relatives residing out of state have passed. If they are still in the land of the living, I will call them on their birthday to find out how they are doing and wish them a happy birthday.

Don’t see the point after all these decades. No one else cares either. 😁
I check the obits to make sure I’m not in them though.

Just wondering how many people don't celebrate their birthday?

I have never liked parties 🎉

The last time I celebrated was my 18th and we only had a small party with immediate family.

So yeah just wondering if anyone else feels a similar way.
My birthday was three days after you posted this, LOL.

In my 50's, and definitely don't do a thing anymore. Go out to dinner, maybe.
