Which 3 TAS episodes should i see before we lose Paramount Plus

Morpheus 02

Now that Lioness is done, my wife wants to cancel Paramount Plus. But before that happens, I want to catch 3 The Animated Series episodes while I can....

Which 3 would you reocmmend.... just saw the COunter Clock incident, the Or-ee-on episode, and of course Yesteryear. What are your top three, MUST see?

Now that Lioness is done
I am unfamiliar with any announcement regarding Lioness season three. Season one was good and season two was outstanding with improved viewership numbers, so I don't see why a third season isn't a real possibility.

Well, "Yesteryear," naturally. "One of Our Planets Is Missing" is one of my favorites. "Beyond the Farthest Star" is good. "The Time Trap" and "The Magicks of Megas-Tu" come to mind. "Megas-Tu" is Star Trek swinging for the fences if ever it was, with the literal Lucifer as a character. "The Slaver Weapon" is distinctive as an adaptation by Niven from his own Known Space series, and the only TOS/TAS episode without Captain Kirk. "The Jihad." I mean, don't deprive yourself.

Personally, I liked:
  • More Tribbles, More Troubles
  • One of Our Planets Is Missing
  • Beyond the Farthest Star
Though if you want returning characters, then swap one of the last two out for Mudd's Passion.

If you want to see the show's full capacity for insanity:
  • The Magicks of Megas-Tu
  • The Infinite Vulcan
  • The Terratin Incident
And the top episodes on IMDb (that you haven't seen yet) are:
  • The Slaver Weapon
  • More Tribbles, More Troubles
  • The Time Trap

I'd want to see the one where they get younger, the one with the submarine shuttle, and the one with Giant Spock. Glory to thee Giant Spock.

"The Time Trap" and "Beyond the Farthest Star" for sure, apart from those you've already seen. By the way, without any intended thread derail, how was Lioness?

Another recommendation for Magicks of Megus-Tu here.

The voice for the Salem witch trial Magistrate, is Ed Bishop from U F O. Something of a rarity because other characters would usually also be done by another of the Original Series actors. It'd be Doohan again, Nichols, Barrett or Takei doing double & triple duty voicing an alien or entity like that..

I like Beyond the Farthest Star for showing bizarre alien creatures that wouldn't have been plausible in live-action TOS. And I like The Slaver Weapon for trying to tie Larry Niven's "Known Space" into the Trek universe.

Written by Larry Niven and based on/ repurposed from one of his Tales Of Known Space short stories.

If you still have it, I'd recommend 2 more, one of which has not been mentioned before.

"The Counterclock Incident" is the last one, and introduces a character that is SNW atm.

"The Lorelei Signal" is a personal favorite as someone other than Kirk, Spock, Scotty, or Sulu gets to sit in the big chair.

But "Yesteryear" is best in show by a wide margin. Good recs upthread.
