What I wanna smell like

Any woman who smells like honeysuckle can have her way with me.

Growing up, we had honeysuckle growing all over our front door trellis in the summer. Heavenly. I've loved the fragrance ever since. I'll go easy on you....;)
We had a honeysuckle vine by the bulkhead out back. I spent many a happy summer afternoon sitting there in the shade, drinking Goofy Grape and reading Science Fiction books from the library. Bring it on. :D

Aftershave: That Jean Paul Gaultier one that looks like a green and blue sailor without any limbs :p

Deodorant: Right Guard Cool Ice. There's something about it that says "Christmas Fresh" to me. Though I can't really explain what Christmas Fresh is.

I quite like Flowers by Kenzo on women. I've not got round to wearing it myself... :shifty:

If I don't smell like the dirty clothes I just dug up from underneath the massive pile on my floor and threw on before stumbling out the doorway, it's a good day.

When I use aftershave; which is rare, I use Denim Musk. The bottle I have is like 13 years old, I got from my dad when I started shaving for the first time. It smells quite nice.

I would want one that smells like cedar or pine smoke . . . going outside in the winter and smelling a neighbor's wood stove or fireplace burning wonderful fragrant wood . . . there's nothing like it :D

personally I use a couple colognes I've gotten for Christmas or birthdays, Adidas, Stetson, and there's one from Avon that I like called Black Suede

one thing that really pisses me off is in the mall, walking past a perfume shop and some airhead is giving a potential customer a sample, and it got sprayed right over their shoulder and into my eyes as I was walking past . . . not cool, man :(

If they sold incense that smelled like that...

I'm sure they do but I wouldn't know where to even begin looking.

My fragrance is Armani Code, which smells of black currant and vanilla. For Christmas I got a honey scented body lotion, which I'm really digging right now.

Jo Malone Grapefruit is my standard.

In the summer I layer that with Lime Basil & Mandarin.

In the winter, Black Vetyver Cafe.

I hate musk and florals...

Jo Malone Grapefruit is my standard.

That is lovely. A friend of mine gave me a bottle of Jo Malone Pommegrante for Christmas. That's lovely, too.

The really great thing about Jo Malone is that they're designed to be layered, so you can wear more than one at a time and create a custom scent.

And they give you so many free samples that all you have to do, really, is buy one and then use the freebies for layering. *lol*

Try HOT Always by Bond No 9. Strong cinnamon & sandalwood notes. I use it occasionally in winter, but be warned, it's a true eau de parfum so longevity & sillage is very high. A very little goes a very long way (which is a damn good thing, given the price tag!)

I layer...

I have never had the courage to experiment with layering. I deliberately use an unscented antiperspirant and very lightly/unscented soaps/shampoo/etc so I don't have to think about it.

I use unscented products, too. It's just the colognes I layer. ;)

But it sounds REALLY complicated. I mean, they all evolve at different rates across the day, layering them up must be a real challenge of trial & error, not to mention the potential for them to actually interact with each other negatively. How do you even start?

But, see, Jo Malone's colognes are *designed* to do this. It takes most of the guesswork out.

Note that I said "most of." Some common sense is required. I wouldn't go pairing Black Vetyver Cafe with Jasmine. *shudder*

When I try a new combination, I test it out at home on the weekend, where no one will smell me but me.

I'm picturing you two in a dungeon laboratory, pouring brightly colored fluids back and forth from test tubes and beakers, wild-eyed and cackling. :rommie:

I have a lot of favorite perfumes, but lately I wear mostly Daisy Marc Jacobs and Vera Wang Princess. Anything with a light floral or citrus-y scent will do- I love all of the Clinique "Happy" perfumes, too.
