What does Chekov mutter in Russian in "Generations"?

Lance

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
I'm talking about this scene, as underlined below:

http://www.chakoteya.net/movies/movie7.html

HARRIMAN: The medical staff ...doesn't arrive 'til Tuesday.
CHEKOV: (mutters in Russian) (to journalists) You and you and you. You've just become nurses. Let's go.

You can hear it in the second clip on this video:

It always vaguely sounded like "Who the detail no", but obviously whatever he says is meant to be Russian.

Any ideas? Russian speaking bbs-ers? :)

According to MA, he says "Удивительно!" (transliterated as "Udivitel'no" by Google, if you can't read cyrillic), which literally means something like "amazing" or "surprising," but if I remember an earlier thread right, when used sarcastically, it's a bit more like "No shit?" or "Who could've guessed?" in english.

Better yet, what does he mutter in STIII when they detect a presence in Spock's quarters? Phonetically, it's something like "Yan yu soma zhinchy!". The script just says "Chekov says something in Russian to Scotty....".

Cant remember where i saw this, but I think Chekov says "I'm not crazy" then Scotty says "Huh?" then back to Chekov for "There it is!"
Or something like that

Yeah, much like the sarcastic English expression "Well what a surprise!"

"Я не сумасшедший! Ну вот!" "I'm not crazy! So there!"
