i saw my first ever TOS a couple days ago and captain curk said"the ship is drifting into romulin space" and "if any romulin come into the area tell them we have no hostile intentions" also i made a character on the online game but the game isnt that good and im guessing the story on the game is diffrent?

In short what are the romulins and are they hostile? please? And what is their culture and home like? please?

I was afraid to look at this thread in case there was some implanted virus.
Maybe I'm wrong Blockmaster and you are genuine and just a terrible speller.

Its Kirk and its Romulan. Just look at the two Romulan episodes "Balance of Terror" and the "Enterprise Incident" for most of the TOS information on the Romulans.

I am just very new to Star Trek and didn't know very much I've only seen 2 and a half of voyager 2 tos and 1 2009 movie so I didn't know any spelling but thanks for the help:)

The Romulans are just another alien race. Earth fought a war with them circa 2156-60, with Earth eventually being victorious which led to the creation of the Federation. Following that war a Neutral Zone was set up entering into this zone by either side could be considered an act of war.

The Romulans aren't exactly peaceful but that isn't to say they are warlike, they are an offshot of the Vulcans who left Vulcan possible at the time of the Vulcan awakening (when Vulcans embraced Logic). The Romulans are semi-isolantists and for long period of times had little to no contact with the Federation, the Romulans and Klingons did have an uneasy alliance but in thw 2340's that began to unravel. First with the Romulan attack on Klingon world Narendra III in which the Enterprise C responded to the distress call engaging 4 warbirds before eventually beging lost. However this was seen as an honourable act by the Klingons, two years later in 2346 the Romulans (whilst supposdly being an ally) attacked Khitomer another Klingon world which cemented the growing relationship between the UFP and the KE, as Romulans were seen as without honour.

We don't know much about they're home system as it was only visited a couple of times in later TNG episodes and he film Nemesis, before it's eventual destruction circa 2287 (ST09).

We mustn't forget the twin planets Romulus and Remus but whatever Romii is has never been explained! The Romulan star empire which also has many systems under it's watchful eye and it has enslaved the Reman population of their sister world Remus a fact that is explained in the tenth Star Trek film!

I always read it as Rom II rather than Romii.

Yes, that's probably what it was supposed to say. However, I'm sure they never envisioned Rom II to be inhabited by a bunch of Nosferatu rejects in Tim Burton-Batman-movie-evil-badguy attire.
