Your favourite guest stars and their episodes?

I think getting a King (Abdullah of Jordan) to appear on Star Trek is pretty much as impressive as it gets (Prince at the time) but my favourite episode with a guest star is probably "Unforgettable" with Virginia Madsen (though you gotta love the Rock in Tsunkatse too). I also enjoyed Morgan Sheppard in Bliss.

There's a lot to choose from so I'm gonna reduce it to ones I think stood out the most (and ignore Star Trek regulars like Jeffrey Combs and Ray Wise etc).

Feel free to pick OTHER if I've left someone out (Like Morgan Sheppard in Bliss and his son Mark Sheppard in Child's Play).

MULTIPLE VOTE.

Oh, crap!!!! I forgot Andy Dick. He was hilarious with the Doctor against the Romulans.

Wasn't there also Tiny Ron as a Hirogen?

Sharon Lawrence did a superb job as Amelia Earhart. She'd have made a great starship captain.

Andy Dick was hilarious. All I can think of when I see this episode now is Roger from American Dad.

Kurtwood Smith and, for me, James Sloyan is an actor that can do no wrong. Sloyan played Jetrel in Voyager and Admiral Jarok in TNG.

A lot of good actors to choose among.

But my vote goes to Ed Begley Jr. for his excellent portraying of the one and only Henry Starling, my favorite Voyager villain!

If I could have voted for more than one, I would have given Michael McKean a vote too for The Clown in "The Thaw"

A honorable mention from me to an actor who isn't in the poll, Wallace Langham. Ever since someone brought the memory of Flotter back to me in a previous thread, I can't watch a single episode of CSI without saying "Flotter" every time he shows up!

It is multiple choice if I'm not mistaken. At least I was able to pick more than just one....;)

I forgot to include Gerrit Graham who did a fantastic job as Quinn in Death Wish. I like De Lancie as Q but Quinn was a more interesting look at a different type of Q.

Also Sandra Nelson did a good job in Alter Ego (and stunning).

Oh and Leland Orser as the paranoid hologram in Repulsion.

And also Mark Harelik in Counterpoint. Some genuine sexual chemistry between him and Janeway.

Apart from the obvious first choice of Vaughn Armstrong in whichever episodes he was in, I'd definitely pick Kurtwood Smith (Annorax) as a runner-up.

I must have missed that and now I can't vote again.

But never mind. The Creator Of The Computer Revolution got my vote anyway! :techman:

I don't know Andy Dick from anything other than Message in a Bottle, but when recently watching that ep I was struck by an idea: he would have made a great Guybrush Threepwood, if a Monkey Island movie had ever been made. (probably too old now)

I voted for Andy Dick, Joel Grey and Kurtwood Smith. They were all excellent in their roles and stand out the most for me.

Quite a few others to mention:

Len Cariou was quite menacing in Coda
Ronald Guttman had the sleazy, smarmy vibe done pat in Prime Factors
Aron Eisenberg in Initiations
Henry Darrow did a good job of framing part of Chakotay's character growing up in their fictitious tribe
James Nardini as Neelix'x ultimately conflicted friend, Wixiban, in Fair Trade
Henry Woronicz as a reluctant truth seeker in Living Witness and a committed one in Distant Origin
Martin Rayner for old school campiness in Bride of Chaotica and Shattered.
Phil Morris as the intrepid doomed early explorer in One Small Step.
Daniel Dae Kim in Blink of an Eye
Joseph Will as the storyteller in Muse
Gregory Itzin in Critical Care
And finally, who can forget that gentle creature that stole Janeway's heart, her beloved Capuchin

Sarah Silverman, of course. I still wish Rain Robinson had joined the crew as a regular (as was apparently discussed).

Kurtwood Smith gave the most believable performance & gave his character weight.

He wasn't completely unlikable because he is, after all, Red Foreman.

Sarah Silverman & Ed Begley were memorable but I don't think Silverman seemed entirely 100% comfortable acting & giving herself to the role to really make it special.

I don't see Brad Dourif on that list, and he did three episodes.

At least you gave mention in a later post to Leland Orser.
